Ok, Steavo and I just did some major fixing around spawn tonight. The whole place got tore up it looked like. I apologize if I 'fixed' something that was your creation, but the entire area just looked trashed. I filled in the random pits all over with dirt - grass should grow back nicely now. I put some serious time into getting rid of all of the flooded areas. Those are good now. SteaveO and I fixed up the bridge as best we could. I left the tower of lava into the person's house. I don't know if that was legit or not, but it wasn't going to be an easy fix and I didn't want to rip it down if it wasn't grief.
Coolio Beans. Hope everyone likes the repairs. Let me know if there are any other griefed areas and I'll try to fix them back up.
Also - I spent about 8 hours now mining obsidian in my obsidian factory. Got multiple, multiple stacks of obs to start my tower. Please don't mod blast it without talking to me. It really is legit and mined even though that is a lot of obsidian. I'll be on mining more in the next few days if anyone wants some.

Good job corwyn.
Rapture is comming along nicely now, with my expansion and all that :tongue.gif:
I want to post pictures. But not sure if its an good idea :/
PS. Elme: Your awesome m8 :smile.gif: Keep upp the good work with the server :smile.gif:
Very good job Corwyn, glad to see that someone took the effort to do that, much appreciated :smile.gif:
There is unfortunately no way to prevent hackers for now,but we hope that Notch will come up with something clever in the future :smile.gif:
Elme has done a terrific job in keeping the server as close to grief free as possible and the other mods are also doing a very good job in enforcing the rules and keeping those bastards away!
The map is slowly getting bigger and there are now some very imaginative creations around and i hope to see many more in the future :smile.gif:
That being said, i hope you are all prepping for the new Halloween release..... MOBS ARE COMING !!
Ok, every time I log on there is major, major grief just having had occurred. I am online during the evenings here (USA) and I am willing to clean stuff up, but I am not going to mine out huge hunks of obsidian/furnaces/etc... without some mod tools. Do you have the setup for mods here with the modstick add on? Its an item that allows you to 1-click delete blocks. Makes grief cleanup real quick.

Im glad that you are willing to do some of the clean up work Corwyn, but currently i think Elme is not looking for more Mods and i doubt he is willing to pass along mod tools to anyone.
However,we do seem to have a problem with griefers during the US timezones as we have enough European mods that take cares of business on the "dayshift".
You could try sending Elme a PM and try your luck tho :smile.gif:
I gave it a shot Sinn, I'll see what happens. It seems like such a nice server it just seems like such a shame it has been getting so hit lately. I also haven't been seeing that the mods are having time to clean up what happens, which is understandable as we all have lives and the grief has been pretty extensive. I figure that, since I like to help and have time, I could be helpful. I completely understand if Elme would rather wait and see how I am for a bit longer and/or just doesn't need the additional help at the moment.
Lagged out. Maybe went offline.
I started getting big lag then I dropped to reconnect to clear it maybe. Now I can't get back in - timeouts. Sounds like the server reset/went down.
Wednesday14 - I owe you a stack of coal! I won't forget, don't worry. Thanks for helping me clear the clutter at spawn.
Ok, got the spawn mostly picked up again. Thanks big time Wednesday14 for the help!
Added some flower beds, some trees (they discourage griefing by being in the way without looking out of place). a fountain (can't seem to get water to work though!). I repurposed some houses that were blasted and hadn't been repaired for days. I made one a public furnace area (had about 60 extra furnaces after the last grief attack). Fixed the welcome sign.
If someone could get water flowing in the fountain that would be awesome. Otherwise I am going to hit the area behind spawn next if I can where another house was hit next. Then, back to mining obsidian!

Thanks for the help Corwyn775.
I just removed 3 mods, because of inactivity, currently we only got 2 mods and me. We could use you too, if you stay active, but its up to Sinn to decide, since I haven't played with you yet.
Last time I updated the server, the anti-griefing mods went off, thats caused some griefing, but not everything. I am sorry about that griefing, thats why I'm looking for at least 2 mods from USA/Australia (Or anywhere else around those timezones).
And it seems like I'm the only one who can get on the server atm, which is kinda weird actually.
Awesome work Corwyn, cant tell you how much we appreciate it,the spawn seems to be the are that gets hits the worst.
I would recommend everyone to travel far away from spawn if they want to build something that takes a lot of time/effort to avoid the griefers.
On a second note, the server seem s to be down for the moment, but im sure it will be back up soon enough :smile.gif:
Oh,and regarding the water Corwyn, Elme has installed an antigreif mod that prevents non-mods to use water and lava.
It is simply to prevent people from flooding projects and being asshats.
However,if you see a mod on the server you can request that they put water in your fountain, although i would advise against it.
Griefers love water and giving them a chance to flood anything is a bad idea since its so close to spawn.
That said,if i get one the server nefore you ill put some water there for you.
The main Minecraft server which takes care of verifying users and servers is under a dDOS attack at the moment. It is up and down because of that. Local users should still be able to get on, but anyone connecting from another IP won't be able to until this ends or gets managed.
Thanks sinn! I can just put flowers in it though, make it a planter so that there won't be water nearby. :smile.gif:
Thanks for the vote Elme. Sinn: Is there anything I can do to help you make your decision?
Ok, put in some paths at spawn, and a welcome center with donation boxes for newbies. Lit it up with underground lighting. Let me know what you think all. If people like it, I can build some roads around to people's houses by spawn.
