Sorry I'm late, Twas looking through 250 pictures and laughing my ass off for the past hour.
Anyway, I think it had nothing to do with Lucas. See, what probably happened was someone went there and say, hit one of the blocks, but then quickly warped away. That chunk would immediately be converted back into code, and stored away. However, the status of the stricken block of TNT would remain as "set", because during the rapid compression, no chunks are updated, and everything is fixated in time. Then when Lucas teleports and leaves for a few seconds, that chunk is suddenly decompressed, and the TNT block that was hit suddenly becomes live, and explodes. In that second that the TNT explodes, it immediately sends a signal to the other blocks in it's radius, telling them to explode / be destroyed. That sends off a signal to the server, saying that this chunk is being updated, let it finish before compression. Alright, so those blocks explode, but wait: They send a signal to the blocks around them. So what happens is, the blocks keep giving the chunks in question priority, allowing them to explode. Due to the massive amount there, it sends tons of messages to the server. That alone causes lag, but causes every player on the server to be effected by the update, lag horribly, and crash.
In essence, once every block explodes, the chunks will decompress, and the server will go back to normal.
Hello, Snorstad. I was banned over a month ago. I've been to many other servers but none of them are as good as this one. I was hoping that I may be unbanned.
I would like to ask about a ban also.
I got banned for attempting to spawn Adminium(7) a few weeks ago, but due to school and my own server i just now got around to saying anything about it. I realize that is frowned upon, but i do have a completely legit explanation as to why i would do something like that. I will pretty much try to tell the story of everything i did in minecraft that day in short...
Im playing single player. I go to a tunnel i made earlier for no apparent reason and decide to hollow out a room at the bottom with tnt. I had 2 chests there though filled with cobblestone i got from mining, and didnt feel like moving it all to my house. So, i noticed i had cheatengine for some reason and never used it, so I try experimenting with it to make some bedrock to protect the chests with (i would remove it later by putting a soil block under the bedrock and planting seeds on it)and i failed at it, so i get frustrated and rage quit to play on this server for a while.
I notice my house was robbed, partially destroyed, and filled with obsidian, and my sign replaced with one that says "you got gamed, son" or something like that... So i call a mod, and he removes the obsidian. I make a tiny cavern with 2 chests in it that resembled the tunnel i built in single player, and put some stuff in it, to prevent being griefed/stolen from again (being a cavern, it is of course buried underground and i dont even know how to get to it without /home) and went to do other stuff. I noticed that the buildings near the spawn, the offices and police station i think, got griefed with lava and water everywhere... So i get the same mod that cleaned up my house to help me fix those buildings. Then i explore for a bit... I go to my house, go afk, and take a really short nap, and wake up at around midnight-1am. Not the best time for playing minecraft...
I see my house and think "oh yeah, i forgot to finish this" where i was referring to my single player project. I go on to attempt making adminium with cheat engine without checking whether i was in multiplayer or not and sure enough when i change the value i get kicked for having 7. I log on again immediately after thinking "oshi-" and frantically typing an explanation but i end up getting banned by snorstad before i can explain.
Sorry for the wall of text but i just wanted to describe the situation in a detailed way so that you guys can see that it was a huge misunderstanding on my part and i wasnt intending to grief in any way.
If the decision is made not to unban me, then so be it, i wont rage or anything, i might defend my case, but I will respect whatever decision is made and either way be sure not to make the same mistake again.
also, about the tnt problem you guys were having, i had a similar problem on my server earlier today. a guy came on with some hacks, spawned some blacklisted stuff and made a pretty big crater. he was bragging about not being able to be banned, because of his hacks, so i banned him and never saw him again :biggrin.gif:

cant you just open it back up and see how it goes?
COMPLETE REJECTION.
Anyway, I don't think you've been paying attention, Parrot :sleep.gif:.
As for you Lefty, you used a cheat engine. Which is spawning items. Which is "hacking" at bare minimum.
Let me get this straight; You spawn an illegal item, then get banned for it, then wonder why. You're an idiot. Try getting materials legitimately or building a distance from spawn, instead of resorting to indestructible materials to protect yourself. People like you **** me off, being too lazy to work for items.
Have fun spawning all the items you don't feel like working for on your own server.
You'd think I'd have a more interesting toast :3 post than complaining about waiting for OVER NINE thousands of blocks of TNT to finish exploding. I'll just celebrate by changing my pants sig. Which I do every 25.33, repeating of course posts anyway.
Daaaaamn. Can you not like, revert to a backup?

Wall of text. SUCCESS.

Si el enemigo me tienta en la carrera.
The server's down at the moment, read about it on Anou's. And why did you...Wait a second. Yes, I banned you for griefing.
