Lets all help fix the giant sphere, wish I knew who greifed it. They should have creeps indefinitely sent after them.
Wow, someone griefed (grieved?) Spheropolis already? I really don't understand the mindset of a greifer, so I'll try to work through the logic here: The person in question pays for Minecraft so he or she can play SMP, logs onto Vanillacraft, sees a bunch of cool stuff, sees the sphere stand out, and proceeds to destroy it. So, what was the incentive to buy the game in the first place? Did the person in question join the server with the intent of creating something and being part of the community, but felt threatened by the scope and skillful execution of Spheropolis, and therefor concluded it was in his or her best interest to deface it, in turn mending the damage done to their fragile ego by laying eyes on it? Or did the person in question buy the game with the intention of destroying other people's work, in order to feed off their anger, in turn boosting said person's sense of worth or some kind of crude sense of power? It seems logical to me that these types of people are most likely children, and children are almost always narcissistic until a certain age range, but they are not necessarily sadistic or sociopaths. What motivates people to behave this way?! In any case, I use this incident as an example for all griefers, and those of them who aren't children are very sick sad people.
Yes Gizzmo_jr let's fix the sphere and prove our positive sense of worth and power as a community!
Hey Q, Remember me? I'm trying 2 join and its full -.- I though the server was down for good. But I was just wondering if U still have been on the same map since.... September 20th, I think?

I think we had that map, which I will call the 2nd generation map, Had ended about a month ago, I think, Halloween update broke it. We have had this third gen map for about a month now, and hopefully, forever.
Its fun to see that players can no longer jump from high points or swim in lava, + = how i miss those hot baths. Urgh, urgh, urgh....
when building/mining, players will have to be cautious about lava, good. Have a few tips for players who would ask me in-game, might help them stay alive longer!

In any case, we are in freeplay mode until mods are fixed.
