Server has a problem with mods. A particular mod named Farinha ragequit this morning, but in the process killed everyone who was online and took whatever they dropped. I was in the midst of building a massive project but have since decided that I will most likely quit this server over the needless drama that ensued after today.
There is a lot of debate and complaint alike when it comes to the innards of how this server works and what happens inside its walls.
Griefers are a problem but if moderators are going to fly off the hinges whenever it happens then the server is simply not worth playing.
The big deal with the server is that it's all about the clan PVP, which is why I joined. While this is true and it has it's NECESSARY limitations, some rules are a bit foggy and rest on a blurred line that can easily go either way depending on the moderator/admin that handles it.
In my eyes, a clan war server should allow attacks at any time. I certainly agree with the rule that just curbstomping all their buildings and demolishing everything at any time shouldn't be allowed (and it isn't), but some things are a bit excessive. If I'm in the Jungle clan, for example, and I want to kill people in the Mountain clan, I can't just run up into their base and start ****. This is against the rules (or so I've been told). In a clan vs. clan server, this kind of rule setting makes no sense and proves to be a counter-productive pseudo-carebear server more than anything.
I've seen the occasional trolling. Like some of the snowclans ice melted, forming into ridiculous waterfalls and ponds, with a sign placed outside from the Ocean clan trying to start **** with the Snow clan. I welcome things like this, however one cannot just up and do this without proper authorization.
This is a clan vs. clan server? Really??
Originally, the concept of having so many clans dedicated to specific "elements" per se seemed really nice. Unfortunately, while the bases built by the members of the clans are extravagant and very VERY well done in nearly all aspects, there's an issue with attendance. If you split the server into so many clans and then never really reach 20+ online at any given time, what do you think the outcome is going to be?
The amount of clans would need to be drastically reduced and redone, removing the elemental/theme approach entirely and just going with solid clans. This would allow for more diversity and further increase the kinds of tactics that could be imployed by any one clan and it's members. With the server's current set-up, things are oft-times boring. The routes inbetween clans bases are extraordinarily long. They shouldn't be 2 miles away from the city in either direction, it just takes too long to get anywhere. I don't mind a little bit of walking, but with this setup it's doing more harm than good.
First off we have just been getting the new map set up. Also there are consistently over 30 people online in the evenings USA time. Maybe it is just you are on at the wrong times of day. Also there is PLENTY to do in this game besides PVP. I have a feeling that you may be bored on any server.
