Im not the owner of this website, nor do I know the person. I found this website from a person that runs a Minecraft stream on justin.tv that the streamer actually hosts his Minecraft servers off of. The prices for a VPS server from thsi website is pretty damn cheap. I really dont think you'll have any problems considering I never see any server problems when he is streaming. Also I'm sure its cheap now since he just opened the website. Also, I noticed that the URL is a uk one, but the servers arent there. I pretty sure the website says its from Denver, CO, USA (I seen it on the website somewhere, I'm sure you can point it out). There is also a download test for you. I actually plan on buying a server for a year prepaid.
Also if anyone actually check this out. From looking on the website, I wanted to actually have maybe a creative or alpha (I wouldn't run more then one unless you believe the VPS server could). Anyways, what server would be good enough for a Alpha server? I figured if I can run alpha fine then creative should be fine. (But, now that I'm thinking about it I think creative would be harder on a server....wouldnt it?)
** If any of you guys, have a VPS from this company please tell us your thoughts! I deff wanna know since I was thinking about trying them out for my first time Minecraft server. Hope this helps someone, if they are looking for something decently cheap! :smile.gif:
I signed up with them yesterday for the 2048 Plan. So far so good. You need to have somewhat of a basic knowledge of Linux commands (change directories, move files, edit txt, delete files/folders ect). I have only reached 9/14 players but no lag so far.If it all goes well I might even extend the max slots to 16 or higher. I'll be sure to post back when I hit my max cap. If you need any help I can pm or post some tutorials.
I just bought a server here, I'll test it out and let you folks know. VERY cheap, but we'll see how that works in the long run :smile.gif:
Server is great, really fast and very little trouble installing a dedicated server. You do need to know basic linux and some shell scripting, but most of it is google-able :smile.gif: Highly recommend this company!!
I got the 2 gig plan from them. Stability is horrid. I can't tell you how many times I lost my map because the hardware decided it couldn't handle all the stress.

Otherwise, their bandwidth is pretty bitching.
Really?
I've had maybe one server crash in 2 weeks. Stability and bandwidth are fantastic as far as I'm concerned. As well, their customer support usually gets back to me within minutes whenever I submit a ticket.
Also on the 2048 plan, only had me on there so far the rest will test it tonight but so far so good compared to a 512 plan on linode that couldn't even handle 2 or 3 of us and this plan is cheaper!
My testing so far was /tp across the map and rather than the unrendered world when teleporting to a new area far away it keeps up just fine. I'm in the UK as well for anyone wondering if a US based server is ok. I have apache running for Hey0Admin and mysql for Hey0 itself as well as backups every 12 hours, all seems good so far.
Will update this post more once I get some guys playing with me.
how did you get hay0 mod running like what is the step by step process i have a minecraft server on a 1024 vps hazenet but i am new to the coding and would love it if i could get this mod running on the minecraft server so if any one can help me please do
I'm also getting horrible stability on the 1gb plan. Did the people with stability problems get them fixed? And for those of you who do have a stable server, what OS are you using?

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04
I have used HazeNET before and the stability when i was there was fair enough, I just wasn't happy with the network performance. I picked up a 1GB VPS from 123systems and it has a nice network. I am running Ubuntu 9.10.
they release these new ram based vps a few days ago and emailed all existing minecraft customers saying they would move data over if tey wanted to switch plans, but im pretty happy with it.U get a bang for your buck.

For those who have set up a server here, how much have you stressed it, and how has it held up?
Specifically, how many users have you had at once? How big is your world? How much lag do you have, and how often do you need to reboot?
Otherwise, their bandwidth is pretty bitching.
