Well I “died” by allocating not enough memory. I had a ton of mods, and since I had so many entities, I went to a dark ravine and guess what. It crashed. And corrupted. So basically I lost all my items and had to get them again.
/edit Also for those of you who do not know about corrupting: You respawn @ your spawn point! Yeah, I had to travel a LONG way back to my base.
So I was playing on this hunger game server and this guy found a hole to hide in so i thought it would be funny to drop sand on him and make him suffocate to death, so i went to collect some sand and the next thing i know is that im in the hole with him and I then proceed to have a conversation with his fists
I was in a cave that spat out into a ravine, with lava at the bottom
I was looking around when a zombie bomber fell down on me and knocked me into the lava
Shadowhunter, I kill spider jockeys with my bare hands and no armor.
Despite owning armor. I actually take it off whenever I see a jockey.
Another stupid way i nearly died:
I fell into my moat of fire while building it, caught on fire, ran screaming out the temporary exit that I had built for that purpose, got down to one half heart... And the fire went out.
building moats of fire is dangerous

Allocators are no longer the future, we have Hoppers now. I still like them, though.
I am going to tell my first death. I am a new player and this happened right before the 1.8 update. I normally play on peaceful to get use to the controls, that and I have the distance set to tiny cause it crashes the game on my computer. Anyway, I was digging in the mine and saw a trail of water leading to a dead end. Being the new gamer, I thought the water was entering a secret room. I dug into the wall and, turning my head for a split second, the water pushed me into lava that was just uncovered. I tried to get out, but I was too late. I lost all of my stuff that was on me at the time. But on the up side, I went back to that spot and blocked the water to explore the area, and found my first two diamonds that was hidden in the water. The lesson for this death, no matter what difficulty it is, lava will still kill you.
So do I...Don't lag near lava. But I still get 9 fps on potato mode.

I was playing Technic, and a skele was after me. I was on so low health I built a wooden barricade that couldn't save me, but might save some of my stuff from getting too far away. I put it too close to lava, and then the flaming barricade destroyed ALL of my stuff.
In smp ran straight off my house trying to go into the river below. I was jumping at the wrong area and tried again and again. Then i realized i was jumping from the wrong area.
Pushed off of a 2 high tower by angry Endermen (like 10)
Trapping myself in a mine with lava flowing at me from both exits
Drowning in a pool I made to keep myself alive
I was in a large ravine after getting 4-5 diamonds, walking on a high, dangerous ledge trying to hurry back to home base when a skeleton shot me, which resulted in me falling to my death in lava, incinerating my precious diamonds.
I was chopping wood. Then i got back to my house... There was a Creeper inside. I couldn't kill because i had a damn wooden sword. I died, and my house did too.....

I punched a creeper into it, held shift, looked at it burn, and got shot in the back by a skeleton.
