So whenever I load up a back-up jar that I'm copying and pasting back and forth and such, MC reloads all of my achievements. I don't particularly mind, but it is getting annoying. At first I thought the achievies were on the jar, but then I saved my used jar over the back-up and reloaded the back-up (say after going from my creative-mode mods to my survival-mode mods) and the achievies still reloaded.
So, where are they located and saved at?
And can I have them persist? Or just unlock them all, because it's getting on my nerves... I know I can open the inventory and punch wood, thank you MC, thank you for reminding me.
When i say reloaded I mean relapsed, deleted, removed, gone, etc. =/ hm, not the best choice of words there..
So if I really wanted to, I could copy and paste these two files along with the jar so that it wouldn't reset when I switched to a Creative Mode jar with spc/tmi/etc. back to my either vanilla or specific mod set up or what have you - just need to make sure that the stat files are the ones fixated with that jar right?
If this works, please let us know. I too am annoyed by this and just want it to stop popping up and was even looking for a mod to do this, LOL
Yep, totally works. Now I have my back-up folder filled with not only my world/config files for my mods/ the jar itself/ but now also my stats! =)
Even plasticraft achievies persisted - I was messing around with toggleblocks and it ate my volcanite amulet, so i backed up my stats, switched to creative jar, spawned in an amulet, reloaded and copy n pasted the stats - boom. All fixed.

C:\Users\*******\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\stats
if you are on windows 7 or vista (should be in the minecraft folder in macs too)
there should be .dat and .old files in there
stats_****_unsent.dat is the file
It includes a checksum which checks to see if the jar is the same
if the jar is not the same the file resets itself.
