We all know what it looks like; we've all traversed its streets and admired its architecture. If not already, it warrants a realistic-scale production, and it wouldn't be that challenging.
Using the in-game map as blueprints:
Of course it has been done before, but so on a scale comparable to that of Oblivion in-game?
The premise is spot on with the above attempt, but it is far from 'life size' -- to create such a marvel would require a running server that can accommodate a score of people.
Are there any among you that can bring a server to bear? Are there any that would help if such a project were to be mounted?
If you need help and plan *most* of it out, I'll gladly lend you my hand.
The map would need to be a little bigger than the one in the SS though. Maybe you *should* scale it down just a bit. Accuracy and scale isn't as important as aesthetics in my opinion.
I'll do it thalion, btw epic grief at the other server. :biggrin.gif:
'Tell me, Dr. Freeman, if you can. You have destroyed so much. What is it, exactly, that you have created? Can you name even one thing? I thought not.'

Trolling aside, who will be able to set a server up? I have no knowledge of such things.
I suppose I could set it up if no one else is willing.
Good news everyone!
I managed to get a server up and running, I will install wrappers and the like and tomorrow I will open it to the public so we might get this project underway.

i would be willing to go in but i would make it private since many public servers are prone to griefers.
