The newest server to be hosted and operated by TheOne's Community, TNT Wars is a game in which players try to earn points by killing players of the opposite team (red or blue) with exploding TNT, and a variety of items that can be bought with points from the item shop. Players earn 10 points every time they kill a member of the other team. Every 10 minutes, the map is reset to a randomly selected map, teams' (but not players') points are reset, and each member of the winning team is awarded 100 points.
i Freaking love this game mode. I was addicted at the first Boom!

The game's box-like representation of reality is cute and definitely charming...until a horde of cute box-like skeletons rip your cute little box-like arms from your cute little box-like body.
but I'm genuinely interested in the answer. The people on TheOne's servers have not been pleasant in the past.
The player who got us our terrible reputation left about 6 months ago. However, his decisions stuck us with this horrible stigma which players we've banned on our servers love to bring up at every single point possible.

Essentially what Megatron said. Although our community has improved dramatically, many people view it through a biased eye, especially if they had trouble with it in the past. Iomegadrive1 in particular seems to be convinced our community is a lawless scum pit, no matter what we say. :/
If you want to know how our community is at this point, I recommend you try playing on our servers. I can say anything I want about them (that our ops crap rainbows and barf chocolate ponies, for example), but that won't change the mind of a skeptic; only firsthand proof will do that.

"Three rights may make a left, but there's still something drastically wrong with your pathfinding algorithm." Left 4 Minecraft
It's a neat server, the idea is unique and very well-put together, I encourage those curious about it to check it out.
I've got to criticize a bit, though.
First off, most of your maps are just **** for this kind of gameplay. Half of them are water-centric, and nobody likes them. The land on the pirate ships map was all but gone within two minutes of the fight. On top of that, the maps seem to be designed to force people to dig themselves around, it's never easy or simple to escape from a cavern. When several of us got locked towards the bottom of a map, we found that because there wasn't a manually-added admincrete level on the bottom, we couldn't place our weapons on the floor to kill eachother and had to manually respawn.
Secondly, it's prone to camping, if the member has figured it out. All they really need to do is make a long iron tower to sit on top of, and they instantly have a downhill advantage against everyone. I saw cock-eyed skill-devoid players rack in kills using this, and there doesn't seem to be any rule against it. The invading party's only choice is to hope the guy on the tower stops to type something so they can get high enough to place TNT without him bombing them first.
It's a really great idea and the system works great, I just can't recommend it until the map selection's better. I also think it'd be more fun if there were more people present-- I spent a lot of time wandering aimlessly looking for people to kill.
Oh, and I was surprisingly pleased by the community. Not once did an admin call me any synonym of "faggot" or "loser", which is a first for TheOne's servers.
That player was name banned as soon as the staff noticed. The swear filter is not meant to completely stop swearing - that would be impossible. It's merely meant to make it clear to players that swearing is not allowed on the TNT server, since we have a wide range of users. Players who are rule-breakers are going to find a way around any filter; therefore the filter is only meant to prevent people who are only not aware of the rules from accidentally breaking them. Also, whenever a word such as competitive is found the administrators can easily make it allowed by the filter, as I did.

Normally, I'd delete this...

Just because they've been banned from our community doesn't mean they don't have valid opinions (and possibly a large influence) in others.
Also, like I said last time, iOmegadrive; I would absolutely love to work something out, if you want to.
Also also, I'd rather not see an advertisement thread for one of our forums turn into a flame war. Do you think we could split the thread?

Sadly, yes.
