What it feels to live the Minecraft dream? Well that’s a good question. But you should have started asking me… What is the Minecraft Dream?
I’m not different from you. As all Minecraft Users I was once a newby who just spawn into an undiscovered world ready for being explored. When I first came to Minecraft I really don’t have a minimal idea of what to do next. I went on exploring the place.
Meanwhile I was exploring I noticed there were animals. Many kinds of animals, such as pigs, cows, chicken, etc. I noticed that my arm was such strong to start caving and get me some dirt blocks. That is when everything started.
1 week later…
I was making my first own fountain, I intended to make a Pig statue in the top of it to venerate the death pigs that keep me alive all this time. I realized that with a little bucket and some dirt you could make a flying water source.
2 weeks later…
I first got into the forums. I had found them in the need of sharing some pics of my new mansion that I build with Bedrock, it was amazing. I saw there was a Minecraft Official Forum and I post a little thread showing my creations, many people were amazed. I just told them there where just simple creations, just some statues made with Diamonds Blocks and many elegant flying houses. They told me why not to join their servers. I really don’t understand the idea that there were servers in Minecraft and to tell the true, I think the Multiplayer option was to play Minecraft with 2 players in the same computer. One guy asked me to join his server, it was amazing.
1 month later…
I become Admin from the YouPlayMinecraft Server… In it I’ve build some buildings for the greatest cities and some towns. I was bored, at this point there was nothing new to discover in Minecraft. Then I quit the server, thanking my friends and the owner for the fun. They thanked me and made a statue in honor of me at the center of the spawn town… Which one week later, was blowed up.
2 weeks later…
I keep playing on my singleplayer map until I got tired. That is when I got the idea of hosting my own server, just a little server to start with my old friends. I hosted it on a little Netbook that I stored in a box for so many time.
3 weeks later…
The server was becoming popular, me and my friends made 6 cities on the time we were here. Big cities. My little pc was at the highest point to host all that 60 people, which I decided it was time to move on the server into a bigger space.
5 months later…
I was at the top. Living the Minecraft dream. I have my own server with 900 people and increasing. Ive builded many stuff, Ive lived all the minecraft fears I can imagine. I could even get into the farthest point of the map just to see it was just a big glitches wall.
With the donations of the server I got 5000 dolars per day. But I realized that was all. Nothing more was beyond the Minecraft Dream. No more caves to explore, no more mobs to kill, no more friends to invite for a hunt just for fun. Nothing more away, that was when I realized. That is when I leave that server in the hands of someone else who can handle it. Someone just like me hopping some day he will find Herobrine or know the great Notch. That is when I realized it was a death end… a Game Over of Minecraft. The Minecraft dream.
So this is my message to all who is reading this.
¿Do you really want to get the minecraft dream?
Don’t answer, just think of it.
“This was a real testimony of an Anonymous user that many people will remember, but some not”
In my eyes, with all the options, texture packs, mods, maps, everything, there is no "Game Over." Minecraft is kinda like life. Your life will end eventually, but you get to live to see the advances of everything. So many creations. The people who make mods are kinda like our scientists in Minecraft. They create things so we can advance even more. Like I said, even if you think you've seen it all when you reach the Minecraft Dream, you really haven't.
