I'm sure the mods will have fun going though hundreds of single post threads about people saying hi.
What would possess a person to make a thread just to say "hi" when we have a perfectly good chatFORUM stickied at the top of the Off Topic section. Surely anyone who would do that must either be blind or mentally impaired and therefore who are we to judge? If the blind or mentally impaired want to say hi in the Off Topic section more power to them. I am impressed they can use the internet at all. We should congratulate them and offer them high praise.

The chat forum is not the minecraft forum. This is the thread for saying hello and goodbye for the minecraft forum, the chat forum is the replacement chat thread with some other topics that would be considered spam here.

I believe you are mistaken. The chat forum was created to replace the chat thread, as you say, so that inherently makes the chat forum a subforum of this forum (even if it is hosted on a different site). So the chat forum is part of the minecraft forum and anything remotely chatty should go there. Ergo my suggestion that this thread be absorbed into it.

I've been a member of these forums for over two years and while I have not made any major contributions to the forums, I have received a great deal of help from everyone at the CST section of the forums. I would like to thank eftj and fm87, (although they may not even be active on here anymore) If it weren't for them I would not know anywhere near as much about computer hardware as I do now. I'm leaving because the community is going down the toilet, and since using this forum I've discovered reddit which provides more straightforward content. So yeah, bye.
