It's comments like these that certainly motivated him to keep working. Although you're opinion is not the reason he left; you don't help the matter. I smell the stench of resentment all over your post.
I've been all for the idea of tameable/mountable dragons, my oppinion, i can deal without flapping wings...
But they NEED to be able to land and walk, also i dont care to find them in the overworld..... unless the overworld dragons are untameable....
in my believe they should be only tamable through hatching them from the Ender Dragon Egg... It would make obtaining them both a challenge, and a prize to look forward to...
i dont mind if they can attack, thatd be great fly my dragon near some zombies and watch it devour them all....
and hell, just to make them even more hard to get, the only way to hatch them is with a nether star,
they start as a 1-2 spaced baby drake with barily, useful wings and runs away from any mob passive or aggressive, after witch they grow bigger after feeding them a special drop from the wither boss....
of course it should be big enough to seem believable, but probly not even the size of a ghast... either way i think any means necessary to impliment dragons should be taken swiftily
We don't need a new dragon. It would be OP as hell.
It may be op but the idea is a reward after beating the enderdragon and possibly the wither as well. Someone suggested that you would bring the dragon egg into the main world, and then use a nether star to hatch it into a tameable dragon. It would take a lot of effort, and its not as op as you think.
yah, they did ask for some ones help with horses already
in fact if I was them i would also get the guys that worked on the aether dimension mod that things is amazing
The guy was the person who made the Mo' Creatures Mod. The Aether would also be a sound addition to Vanilla, although Notch is now continuing to work on the Sky Dimension, which was supposed to be The End but was never finished. THANK GOD!

Where'd you get that idea? At most, we'll probably get a world generation option with Wedge-like terrain generation, but certainly no new dimension. Also, it's Jeb who's doing the work, not Notch. Notch left the development team a while back. Jeb, although, did ask for Notch's approval on this particular feature.
Why would they need this guys help? If any red dragons added were tameable, then one of two things would happen. Everyone complains about it being OP, or everyone complains about it being a disappointment once tamed. I'm pretty sure Mojang could code the dragon if they wanted to, but frankly, the mod creators didn't handle terrain collision any better than Mojang could have. The dragons in mods don't destroy terrain because it would screw up terrain, so instead they just either dont touch the ground or just bounce into it and then fly off. Neither of these are the supposed solution to making the dragons work without destructible terrain.
I like the idea of hatching a dragon with the Nether Star. But what will happen after you have that dragon? I mean... If it becomes big, it can't be useful in caves, nor entering your home. If it stays little, what kind of dragon would it be?
Once you'd hatch it, it will power up, like a wither and attack you. Once defeated the dragon will turn it's self into a egg of some kind that needs to be surrounded in lava. Once hatched you can tame it and fly with it. Yes, it wouldn't be useful in caves, but who brings a horse down into a cave often anyways, let alone a dragon.
You could park the dragon somewhere and wouldn't leave. I would also like some kind of emotion mechanic into a dragon like that.
Remember that this is all a idea and in my opinion a dragon for not 1.7, but 1.8 would be great. I'm sure if Mojang adds a new dragon it'll be cool.
Notch is still in power now. He owns the game. He just don't actively develop it.
If he says put in an rabbit dropping coloured eggs, it will be added.
If he says stop development, then Mojang will stop it.
Personally before I get a dragon, I would like to see more tools, for example a fish trap.
No, there is no if. Notch would never do that. He has given Minecraft over to Jeb, even though he can legally control what direction Minecraft goes he won't.
