I have a mob spawner, and when I saw it had spawned some zombies, I noticed one was a villager zombie. The two I've captured and cured have been priests.
there is actually a mod for flying squid. I feel like mojang should nsimply put it in minecraft and say they added a flying mob. Then give me a special squid cape similar to the bacon cap. (kidding, kinda(no I'm kidding))

It would be a neat little thing if Zombie Villagers, after they've been exposed to the cure and are in the healing mode (shaking and giving off red particles), would go towards the nearest bed and lay in it. I'd love to see a room full of Zombie Villagers, healing in beds.
I'm sorry that got confusing. I didn't mean a spawner block like the ones you find in dungeons, I meant something like a large dark room that hostile mobs spawn in. But it's still pretty badass.
And if they added spawners for villagers for some awesome feature for a future update...
After 5-6 successful cures I've found out some more stuff:
1. Villagers save their occupation on zombification. This means they still have the same clothes and maybe the same trades after being cured. Note that Villager Zombies spawned through spawn eggs are farmers after being cured.
2. Villager Zombies do despawn, so don't go far after you activate the cure.
3. Curing Villager Zombies are passive, so you can store curing zeds together.
4. Villager Zombies have a chance of gaining gear upon being zombified.
Anybody else find out anything?
5. Villager children can be zombified, creating a tiny, huge-headed baby zombie that runs extremely fast.
6. Baby zombies are hostile and will attack both villagers and players
Wait, I have some problems. When a zombie attacks a villager, it kills the villager, it doesn't turn it into a zombie. Also, when I spawn a zombie villager with a zombie spawn egg and I do the weakness potion with the golden apple, after a while of red squiggles, the zombie villager turns back into...a zombie O.o. Am I missing something?

Yeah, you forgot to set a "brony" on fire and chant while laughing hystaricaly.
What? How did you know I was a brony, and how does that contribute to the conversation?
It was a joke. Except for the "burning someone who likes my little pony". And how did I know? Bronies are distinguishable enough, especially for someone who hunts them for their meat, selling the head to private collectors.
ajajajajajajajajjajajajja zombie squids lol I prefer a future update of the ocean biome. XD
Zombie AND (potential) villager spawner?
That's badass.
i havent played minecraft in like 4 years lol

For my 1.2 world without a village remotely close, but with a zombie spawner near my base, HOLY **** THIS MAKES ME HAPPY.
Holy **** I learned a new word on minecraftforum.net how the hell did that happen?
It was Minceraft...
^ Discontinued - new series coming soon.
Villager Zombies can spawn naturally, but not as often as regular ones, so you can still make a village anywhere
Not true, I've had egg-spawned zombie villagers that became all the professions.
I accidentally left a hole to the void exposed and 5 of my 9 transforming zombies jumped down the hole :/

I am ninja'd far too often.

We'd found it literally an hour after Dinnerbone had gave us a hint via Twitter.
