Um..excuse me for appearing slightly nooby, stupid or whatever negative attribute i'm being here but..how do you test? Is this in minecraft 1.3.1? Or is there a snapshot which the minecraft forum hasn't updated to yet?

Allocators are no longer the future, we have Hoppers now. I still like them, though.
Well, I'm upset this didn't happen in 1.3, then I would be able to cure my village without a villager breeder...
BTW, I meant I post about what changes I was able to find. I posted it at http://www.minecraft...w32a-changelog/ and will be updating it throughout the day.
Oh and congrats to the people who did find the solution. I spent two hours on that and wasn't able to solve the puzzle.
ok from what i saw was when the villager changed back there was no special animation just it turned back BUT there was a dark purple potion effect i dont know what it was can anyone help with this.
Just tested the feature, it works like a charm. Hit a Villager Zed with a Splash Potion of Weakness and then a Golden Apple to activate the effect. It takes about a half of an in-game day to reverse the Zombie effects. Very nice job, Mojang!
I can now heal my villagers that had good trades
But then again I could just made a row of door towers, make iron golems and build a wall around the village.
After 5-6 successful cures I've found out some more stuff:
1. Villagers save their occupation on zombification. This means they still have the same clothes and maybe the same trades after being cured. Note that Villager Zombies spawned through spawn eggs are farmers after being cured.
2. Villager Zombies do despawn, so don't go far after you activate the cure.
3. Curing Villager Zombies are passive, so you can store curing zeds together.
4. Villager Zombies have a chance of gaining gear upon being zombified.
I found a zombie villager, and then trapped it, threw a potion of weakness, "gave" it a golden apple, the particles turned red, it was spasming, and it will soon be cured. And I couldn't have done it without you guys. Do we know if they gain a random profession when cured if they are naturally spawned?

Zombies spawned that were never Villagers before are always farmers.
I have a mob spawner, and when I saw it had spawned some zombies, I noticed one was a villager zombie. The two I've captured and cured have been priests.
i did that once only a few people made it past the fire pit part of the corse

Agreed. I just read Jeb's Twitter for updates.
figgured out in a day thats faster than minceraft
I tested it and the enchanted one doesn't work. Still a cool feature.
1.4 will be my favorite update, probably
I am ninja'd far too often.
That would be pretty cool.
Don't even ask about the flying squid incident in 1.3pre.

If all zombies were the new villager zombies it would make a lot of sense. Then we could heal regular zombies and create new villages.

Anybody else find out anything?
