Yes, it certainly should reveal silverfish blocks.
As for blooming everything when things get too bright... IDK, sounds kinda complicated. It might be more of a problem than a benefit to people with slower computers.
I certainly think it should allow some sort of detection to invisible players, unless there is another practical measure taken to counter invisibility.
Personally, I think this will be a great potion for mining.
I already mine with the fire resistance potions, to make it safer if I get too much tunnel vision. This will just make it easier to see what I'm mining as well.
I don't know about you, but having my vision screwed by some color changes or sun-blindness is to me having a downside.
All the OP wants is a simple color invert that doesn't change anything. Something along the lines of, as mentioned before, the POV change with speed potions.

If all the colors were inverted I would never use the potion simply because it would be impossible to see.
I'd be better off just installing a fullbright mod.
Night Vision, not Acid Vision.

I remember Khajiits in Oblivion had the same color to their night vision....It was terrible.
It made it incredibly hard to see what was going on. It didn't help that it applied a weird motion blur effect, either.
Also, cadika asked me to repost this for him.
I do like the look of this. It isn't so complicated that my eyes want to give up on life, but at the same time it gives a feeling of unnatural vision. Mayhaps it could do with a touch less blur, but that's subjective.

1. Yay! I'm un-temp-banned! Dear moderators: I shall from now on try to refrain from saying the word Skyrim on this forum. Skyrim
2. You missed the point! XD The point is that with all that distortion and static and coloring you'd be better off just using a fullbright mod instead of the potion. Do you honestly find it easy to see when your view is darker than normal, tinted one color, blurred, staticky, and then distorted through a Nether portal? SKYRIM
The idea of the night vision is to make you see at night. Which it does.
Some say this needs an additional effect to "look cool" basically or to have some sort of drawback.
It already has a cool affect. Seeing in the dark.
It also already has a drawback. The illusion of safety in the dark.
So why does it need additional coding and in turn time wasted on it?

You make a fine argument.
I still say that if you make it difficult to see why using nightvision, there's no sense in using it. That really should be argument enough.

Fullbright, with no color modifications or tweaks is just plain cheap.
How?
It looks like crap.
Says you.
It needs some kind of color mod. Hell I don't care if it's purple
According to you.
No night vision goggles/infrared/thermal. NO! None of that crap.
The only way it's going to have a color tinge is if it is actual equipment. Arguably as a potion I guess they really could make it do whatever they please, and I wouldn't be opposed to then adding a color tinge, but that is nothing more than gold-plating a feature that IMO is already fine.
Dude, every 1.7.3 fan knows this. You and your 1.8.1 fans ain't know [profanity="shit"].

Wait, you were temp-banned? I've barely been on the forums the past three days (visiting family) so I didn't notice.
Skyrim?
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
I see what you did there. XD
Yes. Apperently drawing a comparison between the new anvil and smithing in Skyrim is considered "off topic" and worth of 4-day ban.
SKYRIM
Shouldn't a warning be given first for things that are not specifically listed as prohibited in the rules?
Anyways, on-topic to not get temp-banned for a silly reason: Haven't tried it myself, but are regular, unenchanted items repairable through the anvil?
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
I can't find the source again, but I believe I recall someone in another topic said yes, but it still costs XP so not worth using it for that.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
1. It doesn't change you vision blue.
2. If it were black and white, it would be useless. At that point it would be easier to install and fullbright mod and actually see clearly.
