Hey guys, I think this new feature is awesome, but could you tell me if there is a way to see/modify the settings once the map is created?
Cause I've started a new game, had an awesome experience but messed up the diamond rarity and I found almost none (they are rarer than by default since I've enabled them on every layer, so I'd like to decrease their rarity a bit. Thanks in advance !
Okay I found it myself, you have to edit the level.dat, the variable is named "generatorOptions".
I doubt it's the settings my machine has....I have a quad core 3.2ghz processor, nvidia geforce gtx 660 supercharged, 8gb ram and a few terabytes of hard drives haha. i'll disable lava oceans
Managed to eventually load it. However, F3 shows my allocated memory etc spiking all over.
Also, I remove a block (dirt, wood, stone etc) and it just glitches reappears and I don't get to pick it up
Even if your computer has 8gb of Ram, I believe minecraft is only alotted 1gb as a general rule. you can check how much Ram is allocated for Minecraft in F3 ingame. With 8gb Ram I wouldnt suggest allocating more than 4 GB for minecraft. Here is a guide on how to change it.
How can I, or where should I, post the RAW codes to share your worlds?
Because just copying the seed is not working for me.
When you create a new world, change the world type to customized, and then press the customize button under it. Once on that screen, there should be a button at the bottom that says 'Presets' Click that button and then it should bring you to another screen. There should be a text box at the top where you put the preset code, delete the code that's in there by holding shift and control at the same time then pressing the arrow keys. then you can paste the code in by pressing CTRL + V. Hope this helped to anyone that had trouble!
Forum's word filter won't let you write 'lapis Spread' and 'lapis Size' without spaces because letters make a word that is not allowed.
There's a simple workaround to forum filters when they misbehave like this:
Set a color for one letter of the censored portion. Observe:
lapisSpread, lapisSize
See that black 's' in there? Probably not. But the forum's software sees "lapis[/color" instead of "lapis" and therefore doesn't find any words containing "pis".
This new feature usually takes a lot of resources, if you have a good computer, try updating Java

This usually happens if you've enabled lava oceans or are trying to use settings that your computer is too weak to handle.

It is very simple. Goodluck! Lava Oceans still causes issues though, its not a ram thing.
what bit of the error report do you need?
That was a sweet preset!

EDIT: It should work now.

I want to use this for survival.

That's so cool! I'm gonna play it.
