It obviously is not a fact (pretty sure I have said this several times before), as I and many others have and continue to enjoy the new world generation. On a world that was generated in 1.7, I might add.
The world generator creates worlds from script and it is fact that they are created in a particular fashion everytime. I have described what the world generator gives you when it creates a world and the problems that this causes. If you want to try and deny that as fact you can go ahead, but you are mistaken.
If you enjoy your 1.7 world then good for you, I never said you shouldn't. I am simply pointing out that there are several major problems with the world generator.

That's the thing. You say the things you're pointing out are major problems, others say the same things are good.
1: People complain about ugly biome borders (Jugle next to taiga)
2: Mojang fixes them by making warm biomes spawn next to each other and cold biomes next to each other.
3: People complain that there are no longer all the biomes in 500 blocks from the spawn.

No.
They are denying the existence of certain groupings of biomes that the world generator creates. If they simply disagree and like the way terrain is generated that's fine by me.
Just don't pretend that the world generator isn't placing massive biomes of 1 temperature everywhere.

That's because Mojang fixed one problem, but created another. The biome transitions are a lot better, but now the biomes are too large and you get too many similar biomes repeated over and over across your map.

You people really have to stop using these type of argument. It's a silly, unimaginative argument I see being said over and over again. It's become almost like a meme. And makes people that say it look dim witted. And yet you may not be. You just seem to refuse on a constant basis to think before you answer. So here is a little helper, for future reference:
The Minecraft community is a diverse bunch. There's many individuals. There is no evidence the same people that wanted a change are the ones that are now complaining about it. Applying Occam's Razor, there is in fact, from simple deduction, a more straightforward idea that they are not the same people in the vast majority of cases.

It is your opinion that large biomes of the same type are bad. Some people might like that kind of generation, just because you do not does not make it an objectively bad thing. This is a very flawed, fallacious, and slightly idiotic logic. So stop acting so high and mighty when you can not even back up your side with proper logic. It is just annoying.

other complaints said that the Biomes are horrible as implemented in Alpha 1.2.5. This same biome algorithm continued up to 1.7.3.
after updating, I dislike them, very much.
Please make them larger, I don't want to see a desert next to snow, next to a forest next to a beach, over and over.
In fact, that appears to be a recurring theme. On the search results I count nearly a pageful of threads with names like "These new Biomes are terrible" and "please fix the biomes" and "Biomes are too small" or "Desert next to Taiga WTF?" type titles.
Basically, everything we currently have in the terrain generator somebody, or some subset of people who play the game effectively asked for.
Every "awesome feature" that you "miss" from previous iterations of the terrain generator almost certain has somebody complaining about it and how it absolutely ruins the game and they couldn't play it as a result. Hell I found people complaining when sandstone was added in 1.2 beta and how it completely destroys some metagame concept they invented!
Yes I did, I just quoted a random post, however, so you would know who it is intended for. However the post was just a reply to all of your posts thus far as a whole.

Good to know that you don't read before you post.
Well, if you had actually read my post before quoting it you would have realized that I have no problem with people liking the world generations. I just happen to think that they need to be improved for all of the reasons I have explained in this thread.
Something I always find interesting is that this discussion really is a case of not being able to please everybody.

I think if Mojang aimed for some middle ground and added extra options for generating worlds it would do a lot of good.
For example, nobody wants every tagia biome to be the same, but no one wants it to be completely random so much that it makes no sense either. Also we don't need massive biomes on default, we have large biomes for that.

I understand that, but you keep pointing out these things as flaws and problems with the generator. However it is neither, it is a particular part of a feature you dislike.

I dislike it because it causes myself and many other people a lot of unnecessary problems, especially on servers and survival maps.
Since Mojang created a survival game mode and allowed players to host servers it would be wise to allow them to use these features in a way that isn't a hassle to find a playable map.

My server, which generated a new map this week, has had no problems with finding any biomes we need. Nor have I on my Singleplayer world. And if modded servers eat away too much RAM to explore a world then that is on the mods, as my Vanilla server has no RAM issues with exploring a large world. And since the servers are modded anyways they can install a world generator plugin to change their world so the biomes don't follow the temperature rules.

It is entirely possible to create a map where you are missing certain biomes for tens of thousands of blocks.
It's not as simple as installing a mod for your map. Most of the time these mods end up breaking your map and do not allow you to get the new features that have been added.

Well it has been more than pointed out that Vanilla servers do not have the issues you are pointing out, it seems to happen because mods on servers eat up a lot of RAM, so if mods cause the problem there is no reason why Mojang should have to come up with a solution for it, that burden should be on mods as well.

All servers can have these issues.
Are you suggesting that anyone who runs a server, or plays survival should ONLY play vanilla Minecraft with a terrain mod for now on?

Not at all, but I am saying that Mojang should not have to fix issues caused by mods, it is only their job to fix issues inside the Vanilla game client. Any issues mods create are entirely the responsibility of the mod makers.

I a bit confused as to what you're referring to.
Just to clarify - The problems I mentioned in my OP are issues caused by Vanilla Minecraft.
Just to clarify - The problems I mentioned in my OP are issues caused by Vanilla Minecraft.
I mean the problems of large worlds taking up too much RAM, because as far as what has been said in this thread, every Vanilla server posted about in this thread has had no lag issues with generating new world. Then you said this:
You also said you have no plugins. Servers with more plugins will eat through more RAM and be more sensitive to lag when people are continuously expanding the map.
Plugins = Bukkit/Spigot. Bukkit/Spigot = A modded server. Therefore, the only servers talked about in this thread that have had lag issues are modded. Therefore the lag due to world expansion is an issue with the mods taking up to much RAM. Which makes that an issue with modded servers, not Vanilla ones. So Mojang does not have to change the world generator because mods take up too much RAM, that makes no sense.

Did you even read what you just quoted?!?!
For example, one common complaint is that terrain generation is too flat now.
whereas previously a complaint was that there wasn't enough flat terrain.
Another is that it doesn't have the randomness that it used to, whereas previously, a complaint was that it was too random.
other complaints said that the Biomes are horrible as implemented in Alpha 1.2.5. This same biome algorithm continued up to 1.7.3.
