Oh really? I wish I go such important inside information from Mojang. You must be high up in Jeb's list of people to trust with new secret information no one else knows about. Congratulations.

Have you heard of an idea that had a few supporters, and it caught mojangs attention? They are not gonna change something that others like, but some people don't like either.

You're not interested in having a conversation, only forcing your own opinion on everyone. You have yet to even acknowledge a single point I and others have made, which makes me wonder if you even read past the thread's title.

I have read it, and I replied to it several times, but I just got trampled. I threw out my opinion on what you should do, and I got a sarcastic comment back, then another from you.

No need for sarcasm here, its common sense.
Common sense tells me that they know the system isn't perfect yet because it was just implemented. Common sense tells me new features like the temperature system need to mature, going through several changes in order to become perfected.
The fact that you say few people complain about the world gen indicates you don't read much of the forums. It's one of the most complained about features in 1.7.4. Naturally we expect some to agree and others to disagree, but you do have in the 1.7.4 a contentious issue that has been addressed several times directly to the developers on reddit and tweet, not just these forums.
Even some of those liking the system, agree it needs tweaking. One of the aspects that got a few complaints is that rivers seem to be the only option separating different temperature biomes. There's a smooth transition between equal temperature biomes, but there is no such thing between different ones. This could be bettered in future versions.
Thinking that Mojang isn't going to fix the world generator isn't common sense, my friend. That is precisely the one game feaure that suffered the most changes in the game history. It is being constantly refined, bettered, made worse, made better again and changed. No other game feature has gone through so many updates. And they will keep rolling in. Make no mistake.

I don't think you read everything I typed.
I have unfortunately.
In summary your first post suggested moving to another area to find resources that aren't near your spawn. Well, that and you're thread is pointless remarks.
If you would have read the thread you would have realized that on severs, since the owners don't have unlimited computing potential they have to limit the size of their worlds, which can leave them without key resources and due to the size of the biomes not nearly all biomes will be included on their map.

I know it needs to be fixed, I don't like it either. There has been many updates that disappoint people but mojang never does anything to fix it.

I run a server, never having any problem with resources, or running potential. Its fully survival and people can go pretty far out to several biomes which provide everything they need. People will trade with each other, there is no shops, no plugins to help them out, and the map is randomly generated.
That's one person's experience. Other people are having problems and I have explained to you what those problems are.
You may have generated most of your map before 1.7. You also said you have no plugins. Servers with more plugins will eat through more RAM and be more sensitive to lag when people are continuously expanding the map.
It hasn't broken your server because you already had your map generated prior to the update!
Just the fact that server owners now have to resort to buying more RAM, or using 3rd party software to find/edit a map to play on is a sure sign that the world generator is broken. Stop being such a fanboy and use common sense.
Also, I'd suggest learning what a fact is.
My world was generated in 1.7. Stop assuming things.
Having to buy more RAM is not a sure sign that something is broken. As a game moves on in development you are going to have to upgrade your system.
And you know what? Since world size is not directly related to server lag, a server owner can simply set the world border at 25000 or so and then take the server offline to generate the chunks inside the border (I know that at least 1 world border plugin can do this for you). That way you do not have people expanding your world to be too large and since all the chunks are pre-generated, you only have to deal with people loading them. Also, people aren't going to be exploring constantly.

In theory it seems pretty cool. Make some biomes rare so when you happen to stumble upon them, it's an amazing sight. After a while of only seeing 2 or 3 of the same biomes, you REALLY want to see the other ones. At that point you try to travel around and end up going extremely far away just to find that biome. Let's just hope you already had plans of staying there or going there just to get some things.
I hope they don't change this. 1.7 was supposed to be the terrain update that ended all terrain updates. I really don't want more towering stone walls to mark the boundary between 1.7 and 1.X terrain.
Seriously? Misreading what I said AGAIN. Notice how I said "Between 1.7 and 1.X terrain". That means that I don't want towering stone walls between 1.7 and whatever version in which they would change the terrain again. That isn't even close to proof that my world wasn't made in 1.7

If that's the case then why would you need more towering stone walls to mark the boundary between 1.7 and 1.X terrain? If your other terrain didn't pre-date 1.7?

You're calling BS on someone knowing when they generated their very own world. Seriously?

If it's all the 1.7 terrain you wouldn't already have boundaries to separate it from other versions.
I suppose that would imply that my world was generated before 1.7, but that is not what I meant.
If you desperately need proof, here it is:
That is the spawn of my server world. The seed is 243379170665271924 if you want to check it out (all default settings).
Take that with a grain of salt however, as me and my friends have modified it a decent amount. In the seed provided you will spawn in one of those small forests that you often find in plains biomes (It is not present in this picture as I have chopped it down on my server)
Going east will bring you do another one of those small forests, there you will find the floating islands that can be seen in my photograph. Comparison of the terrain between the seed and my picture will show you that they are indeed identical.

Calling people fanboys and telling someone their generated world is BS is not the way to go about bringing a terrain revolution. It's the way to make yourself look arrogant.
I'm not saying you're right or wrong. You just have an opinion. And you're not being very persuasive about it.
Well, at least we now all know your reasons for aggressively denying the fact that there are problems with the world generation despite a staggering amount of evidence.

It obviously is not a fact (pretty sure I have said this several times before), as I and many others have and continue to enjoy the new world generation. On a world that was generated in 1.7, I might add.
