The new toggle sprint features allows you to hold down a button, to sprint
This means that you will be able to get mad combos on people because you dont have to double tap W again after being hit.
So it ruins PVP because it gives EVERYONE a possible advantage?
People with non- advanced mice will have a disadvantage. Creating a bind to the side of your mouse (like with the Razer Naga) will give you a huge advantage in soup pvp. You wouldn't have to occupy another finger on your left hand to reach the number keys. People with mice without macros will have to strain their hand while occupying a finger for a button for the toggle sprint. This means you will not have enough fingers to hotkey up to 9. If you don't know what soup pvp is, look it up on YouTube. It is having a big impact on the community.

I have sprint as ctrl and its no strain. and you can also scroll to 9 too.
This gives people an advantage actually, it doesn't really ruin PvP. It gives people a chance when you're getting knocked back down every time and you can't sprint at all.

A mouse really has nothing to do with your actual skill in PvP. A mouse is a mouse. No mouse actually gives you an advantage over other players.
Not only was I surprised that someone besides me was complaining about 1.7 PVP, but the fact that someone else on these goddamn forums knew and actually played Soup PVP, and what a combo was.
For all of those who don't play regularly on a Soup PvP sever, you won't understand, honestly. You can argue as much as you want, but until you've spent a good few months on a server like this, you won't understand.
1.7 completely obliterates PVP, as it is basically adding in a sprint hack, like BetterSprinting. Again, anyone who plays Soup PVP will understand how much of an impact this mod/hack has, and why it gives the player such a big advantage.
And for you, like I said before, until you play a Soup PVP server on a regular basis, you won't undertand. A good mouse and a good connection is all that's needed in Soup PVP to win. Now that we can assign almost every single event in the game to a button, and most good mice have macro buttons, PVP will be hugely affected, in a negative way. Just like the OP said, for those who don't have these types of mice, they're put at a severe disadvantage.
And no, because that would limit your finger space for hotkeying, thus wrecking the point of Soup PVP.
So you're saying it takes no skill at all to play Soup PvP?
You would be somebodies Saturday night date on some of the REAL PvP games...

While I disagree with him, telling him to "cry about it" is kinda pathetic.

Minecraft PVP is a thing?
Why can't we all just get along?!
That's constructive.

Even worse, they ruined it by adding a feature that is basically standardized in any modern game that has walking and sprinting!
Nothing ruins PVP, just play the game.

Make sure you quote my post if you want me to see it.
It's about as constructive as complaining about PVP where Mojang will never go back on. Seriously, Minecraft isn't a PVP game, it's a PvE.
Heck, even Call of Duty is better PvP than Minecraft.
