Is not that the world is infinite... 30 million blocks is way much to explore without using teleporting. You probably would get bored before reaching that 30 m... man if 13 k took me about 2 - 3 hours on a server, i cant imagine how much that much would take. Besides that, mathematicaly, 30 m tends to infinite so....
The Minecraft world has never been infinite in practice, in beta 1.7.3 and earlier the limit was between 12-13 million blocks in any given direction and in the newer versions it is 30 million. But either of these numbers are so large that even the most adventurous players would never even dream of reaching these borders without the help of commands or mods.

You should remove the "Do you like that minecraft is no longer infinite in the snap shot" part as it's just spreading false information.
It's been that way loooooong before the 1.7 snapshots. All they did was add an invisible wall to stop players from falling into the void, but no one could even get that far without meaning to go there.

Going beyond that point would spawn fake chunks anyways, and would apparently crash the game, hence why the wall was added.
I think the new biomes generation setup will work really great with Biomes O plenty and Highlands mods ... once those biomes mod authors upgrade their mod so that their biomes get one of the classifications (Snowy, Cold, Moderate, Dry/Hot).
While I really enjoy 13w36, 13w's 37 and 38 are kind of weak since they both go to 1 thing each snapshot: 37 going to a few add-ons and changes to the chat and command system and 38 go towards shaders. I was expecting by now a least a few minor changes with the biome generator such as tweaks and fixes that players want like taller mountains and such. All in all I'm loving 1.7 so far.
