I, luckily, got the game back when it was $10 (After playing through the Free Week), but the $30 that it is now (Here, anyways, in Canada) is a bit steep for children, I suppose. It's most definitely worth it, however; - You'll get access to hundreds of new servers, constant, simple updates and not having to download phishy files anymore.
Take it as you will. I'm a pirate. I have hundreds and hundreds of Gb of movies, anime, T.V shows, e-books, you name it. But I never pirate a game. Ever. It's just not worth all the pain, fuss, trouble and silliness. Support the developers!
well, i play offline mode, but my b-day is coming up, about 20 days, so i could get a minecraft gift card, and if i don't, just get it with my birthday money so i am accually SURE about getting minecraft premium account in about 20 days.
o yeah im too young to mow lawns, and i get about like maybe a quarter for sweeping the whole first floor. but still, my b-day is coming.
o yeah and also i forgot to say discluding just buying the game cause I CANT EARN ANY DARN MONEY!
Someone people aren't allowed to get it...you have to pay for it via paypal or whatever? I think they removed paypal actually, but even when I had the money I wasn't allowed to get it. I had to get my friend to buy it and then pay him for it.

But now they have cards you can get at stores, such as Wal-Mart.
i guess i'm allowed on the forums, even after i put in my b-day
On topic, I don't recommend playing the game without paying for it. I guarantee you it is worthwhile to buy it, whether it be by credit card or the gift card you want for your birthday. But since the Mojang team is giving free updates to players, the least you can do is to buy the game, you know?
Billybob; what exactly do you mean by "Premium"? Minecraft does not have a "Premium" version. You only need to purchase the game itself. Once you have registerrd the game with the serial code they give you upon purchase, you will be all set for updates and such.
The only place I see "Premium" on this site is an advertizement for becoming a Premium Member of the Curse website network. That's not the same thing as purchasing the game. All that does is give you perks for games that sponsor Curse.
I just wanted to make sure you weren't confused about that. I'd hate to see you waste your Birthday money on the wrong purchase.

Well, there's cracked, and premium, or just mooching off the offline mode. So premium would mean the legitimate game. Cracked is playing with a pirated client.
Going off of one of your replies, BillyBob, surely there'd be a local paper in your neighbourhood that requires some sort of delivery system. You could get a job through that.
That being said, if you get enough Birthday money for it, the only way to access the snapshot files is to buy the game legitimately, or at least that's the only way I am aware of.

SDM and Squid Army fanboys/girls. You're as ridiculous as each other. Gold=Butter=Gold. Why do you harp on about something as trivial as what people call it?
As it should be, ppl that young are not meant to play it.
Who told you this cake (lol failed joke)?
And also, why you ask for perks, if you are a pirated client (lol I might be wrong and it will create an awkward situation), you don't have the rights to complain. It like you steal a car and complain that the engine take too much fuel.

What serial code? Who told you this? You buy an account and you can download the game using the launcher everywhere.

Why can't you? Even 10 year old 4th graders can find small neighborhood jobs.

Lol when I read this I imagine a trailer: "Pegi 18. MInecraft bla bla bla".
Minecraft is a game for everyone, from 8 years up to 9821093784 years.
About the forums- I think everyone can register, because they don't ask for age.
