1. I can't open chests.
2. I hate my multiplayer lag and i love single player because there was no lag, now it's just lag! Can't play!
3. Mobs are bugging
4. Lag
5. World generation & chunk bugs and errors
6. More annoying things! etc..
1. Probably a CRAPPY computer. My computer literally sucks and even it's not that laggy.
2. That's a gross exaggeration, and a lie
3. 26a has improved mob performance by huge amounts
4. You already f-ing stated that in 2
5. There aren't any errors with the world except for the occasional world holes...
6. This isn't even a reason
Your computer has a vacuum attachment? That would be very convenient.
Okay I just had to laugh at that one and yes a vacuum attachment on my PC would be very handy. Unfortunately Billy Mays is dead and can't make us a cheap crappy one.

You're obviously joking, but vacuuming your PC is only convenient if you want to break it. Vacuums can cause static discharge that can fry the circuits, unless they are specially designed for use on electronics.
On topic, 1.2.5 is still here, and if 1.3 reduces fps or introduces other bugs in single player, anyone has the option to not update until or unless those issues are resolved. It is unreasonable to expect universally stable performance in these snapshots.

I could still use it on my keyboard or for cat puke. :/
It seems like every recent .1 update they add one major game change. First it was anvil, now it's the merge, and next it will be the API. These updates may take a while to actually come out, but if they fix most of the mp bugs then it would be great(especially all the mob issues).
The lighting issues are really starting to **** me off, Jeb and Nathan have thus far neglected the bug, and have shown no signs of even acknowledging it exists.
But whoop de do, ("guess what? It's a hardware problem, not a update problem, your computer just sucks!") or ("It will be fixed in the next snapshot anyway!") This is how the minecraft community responds to everything wrong with their precious game, I have seen these two arguments time and time again on the forums, in relation to the lighting bug.
I don't like to brag about my PC specs, but lets just say I can more than handle any game at max settings. Secondly, every thread that acknowledges a bug gets shot down, with the OP getting belittled. The snapshots are here for testing and reporting bugs, not pretending they don't exist.
Further more, almost every week for the last 5 or 6 weeks (who is keeping track?) I've seen someone say "they will fix X bug in the next snapshot, stop crying". Clearly Mojang isn't going to fix these bugs if everyone keeps quiet about it.
This has been a issue in multiplayer forever. Notch has even attempted to fix it a couple of times. Unless one of them stumbles across something in the code along the means of MakeLightingLookLikeCrap=True, don't expect it to be fixed anytime soon.

Sad but probably true, this was one of the primary reasons I tended to play mostly singleplayer 95% of my time. Sad to see the game suffer due to such a poor decision.
These bugs might still be fixed eventually, but single player will never be as stable as it once was, which is rather depressing.
So, this is not yet another rant thread, I just wanted to inform you, the ones who didn't play the snapshots or just check them a bit, I played the lastest snapshot (12w25a) which supposed to be one of the last snapshots before 1.3 and I expected the singleplayer in it to be almost as good as the one before the singleplayer multiplayer merging, and it's still awful, many of the well known multiplayer bugs are still in and in singleplayer, it lags and glitch like it never has been in singleplayer, and it's just not as fast and good as it used to be at all, there's a lot of missing stuff and not working so well stuff. The good old Minecraft singleplayer is just destroyed. I think I will play 12w17a as long as singleplayer will turn back to what it used to be (if it will ever happen :\)
What do you think about the singleplayer being a local multiplayer server game in 1.3?
Lol this definitely IS another rant thread on the merger. You're another misinformed or ignorant individual that does see the bright side of the merger. Singleplayer as you know it is completely unaffected by the merger alone, it doesn't add or remove features. If you're speaking of multiplayer bugs are now implemented in singleplayer, that shouldn't be a big issue either seeing as now there's little to no difference between single and multiplayer other than the fact that there's multiple players playing together in multiplayer(that's how it should be). The merger has provided an easier way of patching both singleplayer and multiplayer bugs at once as well as faster/smoother multiplayer game play which is wonderful in every aspect!
For the people stating oh well they never fixed multiplayer bugs wahhahahahah
Think about this:
1. Notch... (no hate here man) wasn't really known for finishing stuff, or exactly keeping to his word. Now we have the Bukkit team + jeb implementing this remember, so we have jeb, who's highly productive compared to notch, and the Bukkit team, who literally work to improve the multiplayer stuff
2. The reason they never touched MP bugs before is because they were so focused on SP, and MP was just the side. Now with there only being one to work on, they won't have to split time patching each!

Not really, the OP just played the snapshot and noticed some glaring issues with it. Isn't that what the snapshots are for? To notice bugs and report them so that they get fixed?
No lag in 1.2.5
There was no lag in 1.2.5, lag started actually in snapshot with internet connection started... Also i found the 3. out today. If i have lag you have no permission to call me an idiot.
Mind if I ask what the specs are on your computer? It sounds like what my brothers has started doing as well.

Don't play vanilla? You don't know **** about minecraft.

1) Not really, the OP just played the snapshot and noticed some glaring issues with it. Isn't that what the snapshots are for? To notice bugs and report them so that they get fixed?
2) What? SP didn't used to run on a server, and we certainly couldn't open our game to LAN before...
1) It is somewhat of a rant because they are very upset and they are complaining about it, but I will say that you are right (about the fact that the snapshots are primarily about fixing bugs) but I also think that Mojang is well aware that there is sometimes some lag in SSP, so it is somewhat out of place (because it would be like me spamming reports to Mojang, because they have a bug, even though I know that they are already aware of it) but I do think that this thread has digressed to a bunch of people insulting each other (with a few people talking about the actual issue)
2) Yeah, I personally LOVE the LAN play, I have been playing with my two brothers for several hours each day since it came out
I understand why everyone's upset, but please remember this is a work in progress. If people don't like it as much as they say they do, then it will most likely be removed :3 But bitching about it all the time isn't solving anything. Try contacting Notch or Jeb....
Take your trolling elsewhere.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

I don't know whether I want to strangle you or hug you.
Anyways, 1.3 and 1.4 are just fixing things that should have been done from the beginning.
Sad but probably true, this was one of the primary reasons I tended to play mostly singleplayer 95% of my time. Sad to see the game suffer due to such a poor decision.
