1) Look, I'm going to be straight with you; your constant insistence that I've been trying to insult you is wrong and annoying. Nobody agrees with you because you're wrong.
2) I don't feel guilty if I insult someone over the internet.
3) A(I said that I got one minor detail wrong), B(and you took it out of the context of the situation). C(What did you want me to say?)
4) That depends on the context of the situation. For example, I prefer to strip mine for diamonds so that I have control of the situation. Finding a diamond is exciting in its own right.
5) But on the topic of the Enderchest in SMP, I'm conflicted, but I'm leaning more toward the personal chest system. The chest is very much a situational item in SMP with both sides having benefits.
1) It wasn't really constant when you told me to "stop posting", I had said it once.
2) Then you are a sad, sad, little man (or woman, or boy, or girl) and that is know as a cyber bully, by the way, I hope that you will see this and change (not to support my opinion) and I do not mean it as a heartless insult.
3) A(Yeah) B(not when I first replied to it) C (I expected you to reply, but you chose to ignore it, until I brought it up again.
4) But not as much if there is No risk of losing them, but there is still some excitement over finding diamonds.
5) I am also thinking more toward the personal chest system.

The reason I don't feel guilty when I insult people over the internet is because I've gotten used to interacting with people who can take one.

3) You're being way to analytical about the situation.
4) First of all, you have no idea if he was referring to you at all.
5) Second of all, by saying "Thank you" and assuming he was speaking to you, you've indirectly called me a Nimrod. Hypocritical, much?
1) Yup.
2) How nice.
3) Perhaps.
4) I don't think he was.
5) See above.
Ye gods, cant this forum exist for more than 10 seconds at a time without something devolving into a completely useless, screaming arguement?
On the subject of the OP:
I dont personally think the things are too overpowered.... but for the effect they DO have, I feel like they should simply be harder to craft. Using an Ender Eye in the recipe is a good idea, but the Obsidian, well... obsidian isnt actually difficult to get, it's merely annoying.
I really like the idea of have a chest that you can use to quick access useful items but can keep them safe. The only problem that I have with the current arrangement of the enderchest is, it's a community chest. I don't mind the community aspect of the chest, but I would also like a way to do the same thing but with a personal enderchest.
This would result in 2 enderchest void spaces. The community void space and each player has a player specific void space. when accessing any community enderchest you will see the community void space, when accessing any personal enderchest you will see your player specific void space.
For crafting it you could first, make and enderchest, then re-craft it surrounded by gold ingots. There are a large variety of ways to make the personal enderchest appropriately more costly to craft but this seems the most fair to me.

1) Not one on a topic such as this... Well, unless you get a bunch of nice people to come along with no one who is argumentative.
2) I agree with you to some degree, that isn't how I would fix them if I was Mojang, but it would be a fine way to do it.

Rather than caking a layer of gold on the chest and needing two different versions, I think crafting a player-specific key would be better. This would make it so that you could share resources with just a select few players (avoiding the large server trashcan effect) and that your ender inventory is not completely impervious from other players (as they can kill you and steal your key.) Not using a key would take you to the global "trashcan" inventory.

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
