I hope that there are gonna be exploding creepers, buildings collapsing, mad horse chases, and yes, a little bit of drama about a girl. That's what makes a movie a movie... most of the time. This is gonna be bigger than Frozen to Minecrafters!

For the minecraft movie i heard that Warner Brothers are going to help them so far i do not know the release date or how much they done all i know is that it is going to be AWESOME Just for lol sake
I've played Minecraft since Beta, and I've loved it. But it has been gaining too much attention from young children who watch the nonsensical and stupid channels, such as Cartoon Network. The producers are going to shape the movie to match the preferences of these children, who love inappropriate humor that is devoid of anything relevant to the actual performance. So, for this reason, I believe that a Minecraft movie would be horrible. However, if they do not do this and direct it towards the true Minecrafters, such as you and me. It would be a brilliant movie.
If I had heard this before the Lego movie came out, i'd have alot of doubts and probably laugh in the face of whoever had said it to me. But seeing the success of the Lego movie I really think this could be a big success. The thought of a Game being made of a movie seemed absurd about 6 months ago, but after the success of the Lego movie and Need for Speed, this could be another in a long line of Gaming Movies.
The preppy Hollywood directors with slick hair and dark coloured berets have found
our little hobby. Soon a lot of games will be cinematics...
Minecraft is all blocks. No smooth realistic world here, it's all blocks. 1 meter tall, 1
meter wide, 1 meter long. Everything is blocks. Your sword is blocks. Your explosives
are blocks. Your player model is blocks, the zombies that chase him are blocks, the
townsmen that trade with him are blocks. They look thoughtfully at you with there big
blocky eyes and say HMMMM over there blocky noses. You could not pull that off
in live action.
It's been said that Warner Bros, however, want's to go with live action. I imagine that
being a guy in jeans and a green T-shirt being filmed in an old growth forest punching
a tree with his fists until they bleed. Woo.
I think that a movie for a game should always be animated. Sure, you could get away
with it in some places, like need for speed did, but it seems more right to use smooth
3D models instead of hunky male models when making a movie for a game.
There. That's my 2 cent opinion.
I'd have to vote for animated. I really wish slamacow was asked to animate it.. His animation style is smooth and simple. I love it... especially his sense of humor and minecraft sense.

This is just my option, but I have really had enough of movies with drama about girls in it when they never needed it in the first place... The Hobbit for example. But I don't want to get to off topic here. Just hope they don't add any drama with girls, that would be a first.
Otherwise, i'm pretty interested to see how it will turn out...

'All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.' - Gandalf the Grey
Sounds like a good movie to me!
I'm sure that there will be some sort of Herobrine cameo unless he's involved in the main plot which would be pretty sweet.
Cheep Games!
Trust me it is worth it
