Minecraft was confirmed for the Xbox One yesterday at E3, spear-headed by 360 veterans 4J Studios. Currently, much of what MCX1 will bring to the table is being kept quiet, but behind-the-scenes discussions are, to say the very least, very promising indeed!
Minecraft began on PC, moving first to the Xbox 360, then to portable devices (iOS, Android), spanning well over 20 million players across the board. With their foray into the next-gen Xbox console, it is expected that even more players will join the best gaming community ever, and discover what the rest of us already know: that Minecraft is one of the most awesome games ever!
Details for MCX1 will be revealed in the coming days, so keep your ears to the ground as we bring you all the latest news!

Am I the only one who doesn't get what other people see in the Xbox version? The PC version has nearly unlimited worlds, hundreds of people on the same server, easier controls, mods, texture packs and you don't have to pay for skins. In my eyes, that's easily worth and extra $7.
Like I mentioned on other sites, I'm very likely not going to get the Xbox One, mostly because of it's compatibility issues; the new Xbox wont be backwards compatible, at all, with any game, downloadable or physical disc. At least the PS4 will have downloadable backwards compatibility (downloading older games through the store), and the Wii U has backwards compatibility on disc and through downloads, if you count all the downloads, it goes back to the Neo Geo. The only thing the Xbox One really has for it is the new Kinect.
Anyways, as long as they continue updating the 360 version, I'm game though.
The xbox is $499. thanks for trying. http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-one
I'll stick with my mac/xbox360 version. The XB1 is the worst thing I have seen when it comes to gaming terms. Make it for PS4 and then we can talk.
Bigger worlds! More players! Blocks!
