One thing I've noticed is snow seems to be based on height, not so much biome. Beyond awesome, that.

The seed is -7243850164990877949. I figured that the "Extreme Hills Desert" was a bug because Dinnerbone mentioned something about the "Skylands" or world generation a while ago and the picture looked something like this world. Please check it out guys. It's really, really, really, weird (I've never seen this before).

There's a particle effect when you fall onto sand from long distances.

Why is there snow everywhere? We have enough snow! The Extreme hills are too small to have snow at the top. Also, the change in Sugar canes color is going to take some getting used to, because it really was unique with the old color, now it looks like everything else.

the new "hidden" mob is probably the Giant, you can summon him with the /summon command.

So far, found 6 new types of flowers.

Azure Bluet, Red Tulip, Orange Tulip, Pink Tulip, Poppy, Oxeye Daisy.

EDIT: More flowers (Lilac, Rose Bush, Peony). Birch forests. Have the yellow flowers always been called dandelions?

EDIT v.2: Melons now spawn in patches like pumpkins. Or was this from a previous update?

The new biomes are pretty awesome, I love the Mega Taiga. The new ways to get basically every dye is good too. Loving this update so far. New blocks ftw.

Really like it, only that one biome that has floating island on top of a screw up desert, thats probletly a bug?

What about the clay biome? I thought that was one of them, I am not at home so I can't play it yet Why can't thursday be my day off!

I found a village in a Savannah biome, set up just like a plains biome village. Would post pics, but I don't have an image host right now.

This is literally the ONLY good update jeb has been responsible for. Good job Jeb. Good job. Of course, now I have to find another signature........ and it'd be nice if we could turn off the internal server.

It spawns in as either a chest or a chest in a minecart. It has been in for quite a while.
