Yes a picture has been released and River generation might be possible... (I HOPE) The dungeon has Creepers/skeles/slimes/zombies All that stuff (They arent pigmen Npcs (Pigmen were taken out of minecraft also)) So far notch has said it adds... SPRINTING/CRITICAL HITS otherwise making fighting alot more interesting. Sprinting otherwise self explainable (Probably the ctrl button the sprint :biggrin.gif:) And probably stamina for sprinting... YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!!! Super awesomely fun SMP fights/Exploring = FUN. Also the dungeon bricks are NEW bricks they arent cobble stone otherwise COBBLE wouldnt be in the name it would be more like brickstone than cobblestone if it looked like that. Anyways heres the list he spilled out to us peoples to see:
NPC villages
Randomly generated dungeons
New biome code
Fully working Creative Mode (and individual admins can enter Creative Mode on a Survival Mode server if they choose)
Critical hits
Sprinting
More farming options
SO CREATIVE MODE IS TRUE IN BETA :biggrin.gif:. And farming is going to be fun!
ruins look nice. villages are kinda ugly and monotone, and i hope the houses will have some more varied appearances in the final version. the mushroom biome is kinda stupid, but that's what everyone thinks and there's probably a fair chance it won't make it into the final game.
You do understand any mod you make for this game becomes Mojang's property as soon as you publicly distribute it on the internet, right? They can easily sift through whatever mod they see, take it, and implement it officially into the game with minor tweaks of their own. No one will complain because most people know their mod now belongs to them.
If anything, I feel modders should feel proud to see their idea be put into an epic game like this, to know the developers actually like it and wanted it put in. Their work and innovation will be forever carved into the great code(s) that create Minecraft.
u know there will be a new monster in the update. notch wanted to put in dragons but he couldnt.maybe th (boss monster is a dragon)and the fortress ruins is the spawner. what do u think?????
I'm kinda worried about a village spawning nearby my small house in 1.8
What if they take up part of my fishing area?! D:
They wont appear where they aren't already, they will be generated with the terrain like trees, or mountains, or anything really so they wont just spawn in random places, you have to go out and find them.
Pretty sure the new mob will be silverfish which will eat your wooden structures :sad.gif:
thats RETARDED why whould add silverfish?????? With a dragon u could be able to tame them, destroy enemies with ur tamed dragon or even fly. plus u call fish beast?? Dragons r beast.

Do you know how much code that would take?
It's not like "hurr durr I want to make a dragon so it just happens". No.
You have to program to make stuff. By the way you sound, you are young. Please try to understand that it's really hard to code, so it'll probably be the silverfish. As far as I know, it eats wood. Simple as tree decay around it. Dragons, the way you want them to be, will take a month to code, and I don't even wanna know the bugs. The new mod will probably be the silverfish, k? And I don't think a dragon can fit inside those cramped ruins.

Maybe it will be collectable, or placeable, or even craftable. 3 vertical wheats?
Thats not wheat thats wood. Zoom in by holding CTRL then scroll with the middle mouse button.
