Well actually they are putting in the Capture the Flag mode in 1.4. Also they wanted to put the red dragon in minecraft but they said it would put to much stress on multiplayer servers (which is true)
They could make it so that red dragons are only in singleplayer. I think multiplayer is good enough without em, with all these plugins and all, but it could be a thing you turn on or off in singleplayer, like villages and such. Also, Audio loops would be a really nice touch to the overall feel of the game. Wish they would at least add those in, they don't seem too complicated.
Edit: And then I guess if you wanted to put your world on the LAN thing, you'd have to turn them off.
Too many spoiled brats complaining about the updates to this game. Be glad they even bother to update this game; in no way are they obligated to give any of you any API, so stuff it. IMO, every update is an improvement to this game and I hope there are many, many more to come.
Can villagers now spawn on grass cause i found some randomly and in the nether i had grass and all of a sudden they were there?
Also the beam of light does not show up for me... anyone know why?
Having a good reputation should cause iron golems in the village to attack anything that hurts you,and having a bad rep would make themside with whatever is attacking you.

The new commands are cool and all, but when are you going to add a /sethome of some sort so we can teleport to our base? I always go epic caving, and then I can't find my base when I try and go back to it. > Please add that Mojang, and I will be forever grateful
I've never installed a snapshot ever but I MIGHT just do it for once. How do I install it without affecting my other saves?
Its easy.
1. Copy your minecraft.jar to something like minecraft.jar.original. Anything different will work.
2. Download the snapshot minecraft.jar, and replace the original.
3. Load minecraft and make sure it runs.
4. Create a new world for testing, and as long as you don't load the others, they cant get corrupted.

Er. To specify I meant you'd Have to turn off the dragons. Not the audio loops lol.
I made this a new comment because there wasn't an edit button for some reason...

yes i agree
Those aren't bugs...

Wrong. Zombies are SUPPOSED to catch in fire from the sun.
Well maybe not now. SINCE you can heal villager zombies...just a thought.
Thank you Mojang

After reading this, I did a test. You need to put the block on a pyramid like these (although I don't know if you can make them smaller)
Note: If playing survival, you will waste your time!
EDIT: You don't need that many blocks! You need a minimum of 9 blocks!
I know that, I've always put them on pyramids.
I get the effects from the pyramids/beacons, just without the beam of light.
You can get one too!
