Yay! btw, i got some problems. when i hit the zombie, they takes couple seconds to react or knockback. its like playing in laggy server. not sure if its a bug.
I would think being able to get chain-mail legit (village trading), would balance out the SSP/SMP merge, but i guess not.
Now my singleplayer is as laggy as my multiplayer!
This Update is slightly Shitty.... I start drowning instantly, and Everytime I log back in now, my achievements are reset... **** this I'm playing technic, Oh wait! All those acheivements are somehow gone toO!! Fix please.. :'(
You may as well never update then, that is always the case. Don't blame Mojang for it, they didn't program the game intending it to be modable. Why do you think the code is obfuscated? If you really hate updating mods that much, just wait for the mod api, it will all change then.
it automatically updated so how can i change back??

What do you mean? You have to choose to update it, you could've said no. For changing it back, replace the minecraft.jar in .minecraft with a backup from 1.2.5. If you didn't make a backup, wait until something like MCNostalgia updates.
There is another bug, not sure if its been there for a while, but it seems that a few seconds before a zombie breaks down a door, and he stops busting because someone stopped him, the cracks on the door stay on the door, and when the door is broken, the cracks remain, floating in air. Pics here.

I am so angry. I updated, and I have much more lag, the title screen flashes a few time when I load a world, entering the nether doesn't play its sound, there is no loading bar, it takes time to load up the terrain from going from one dimension to another, and for some reason, when I get back from the nether to the overworld, nothing loads at all except for mobs that are falling through the sky - I've spent like 30 seconds and I was falling through the sky and I have to exit and reload the game. The first time, I was stuck in the ground, and the second time it happened, I literally fell down into a cave.
WARNING!!! If you intend to change your skin with this update good luck because i know many who have encountered a glitch. YOu change your skin on minecraft.net and it says "skin has been changed". Then you go to open minecraft and look at it and... ITS THE SAME!!!
i am not rly hating here but i seem to not be the only one with the whole entire (exxageration---->) move an inch every hour ordeal on both multiplayer and singleplayer worlds also anyone else have had in jungles have mobs stuck in leaves and one block trees
The scrapping of single-player mode by turning into a client-server setup was always going to lead to a performance hit, now getting 3fps instead of around 15fps, more world-holes and the usual SMP lag glitches. What surprises me is that the "single-player" has worse performance than setting up a separate server on the same machine and joining it on the localhost address as a multiplayer. I get double the framerate doing this, and a little investigation points to the reason. The single-player uses only a single CPU core for both the client and the server, whereas setting up a different client and server will use 2 cores if they are available. One wonders why Mojang did not create a new thread to run the server in the "single-player" mode, then single-player would not have this performance hit on multi-core machines. Roll on Optifine 1.3 - We need you!

Sorry to be a party pooper D: really, but honestly, in your opinion, don't you guys think the SINGLE player internal SERVER is kinda too much? Honestly I think having a SERVER in SINGLE PLAYER is way too much.
SO I'D LIKE TO HEAR
YOUR OPINIONS!!!
I disagree. Thanks to this new feature, I can now play in a server with my friends. Some people don't have the money and/or technology to have a normal server.
After getting a taste of trading in 12w27a I talked our SMP compound teammates into gearing up... we stockpiled production on goods like raw meats and tripled our wheat farming! We then made a Nether Portal in our basement. In the Nether we tunneled to the right location about 100 blocks and made another portal but didnt use it - we went back to the overworld to the corresponding location near two villages and made the overworld portal (so the right portals were linked).
Once we had our 4 portals (2 overworld & 2 Nether) we built a rail line between the nether portals and BAM! we had our wormhole! We could just go to the Nether and take the train then pop out of the Nether right by these two villages that were far away.
Today we got the update and guess what? We stuff our pockets with our goods and head out along our carefully crafted wormhole trade route and never spawn in the Nether! With our inventories full of tradeable goods we plummet into a buggy void because of a rush to market!
I went back and tried all the snapshots... and found that either we:
1) Stay at 1.2.5 until they fix things (most likely)
2) Go to 12w27a and lose all our signage (which hurts cause we have like 50 chests all labeled)
3) Go to 12w30a and lose the ability to access stacked chests (with 50 chests they're all stacked, duh!)
4) Go to 12w30b or later and simply avoid Nether Portals (making the journey to villages on foot rather than all the stuff put together in the first place!!!)
ugh!
Seriously, in my opinion, if you just fix the signs in 12w27a we would have a temporary version that would make me happy for about 3-4 weeks while you sort it out.
Good one though, plummeting our group thru the world with our inventories filled to the brim headed to trade at the villages via our fancy pants wormholes... you got us good. Congrats. Nice one. Classic. Stellar. Go pat yerself on the back for that one fellas. Really.
Hmmm.... LAN servers won't work for me, books are glitched for me, trading mechanics need work, enchanting is still annoying since most numbers are impossible to get, SSP is as bad as SMP glitch-wise, and for some mysterious reason, they removed pushing mobs/players. Overall, the Emerald Block's texture is my favorite thing about 1.3.
This is all a sort of wake-up call to the whole Notch/Jeb ****ed up i can't even log into a server i'm usualy just trying to troubleshoot it but if any1 has any opionions on this 1.3.1 canundrum it would be a nice way to pass the hours at least Diablo III is working fine cuz the updater pplz (lol) aren't doing jackshit (sorry if this looks like raging) but i'm fine i'll just do something else
is it just me or does the day pass faster and you get hungrier faster as well ?
thats about my only negative so far.
correction i went out of my way to open a portal to the nether, and i got the nether bug in the overworld.
still, easy fix for me was quit and open world again.

Got that, too, as I described in my previous post.

That happened to me also.
