Uniloc is a patent troll. They aren't suing because of infringement, but because they ether want or need money. Probably the first one. This reminds me of some videos I watched a while ago: Everything is a Remix
F*** Uniloc. Who's ready to take the s? Plan: Go to their base and take 30 buckets of and pour it on their roof and leave a sign saying"REVENGE OF MCPE!!!!!" Trolololololol!!!! PLEASE WIN MOJANG the are against you!
i just want to say included but not limited to means not just mindcraft but they can also use minecraft MPE scrolls etc
plz dont say i support that company i just wanted to put that out there i kinda wish i didn't know about that so i could be ignorant of that fact but had to be said
Not that I take this seriously at all, but considering the PDF of the lawsuit says 'Mindcraft' says to me this is another patent-troll, and it won't go anywhere.
glad I wasn't the first to notice that misspelling
Lol? After some search on google, ive found this, and I died because Uniloc is really stupid: Uniloc sued Microsoft in 2003 for violating its patent relating to technology designed to deter software piracy. [Source: Wikipedia]

That's the same exact thing they're suing Mojang over right now. And that's what the patent is for. I don't see what's funny about it?
Edit: According to wikipedia, they actually won that lawsuit and were awarded $388 million dollars. Again, I don't get it.
Isn't this essentially sueing the concept of the MMO, which has been around for... oh... 20 years or so? I mean, honestly, why not just sue the Internet while you're at it.

Define Cute (choose 1): A) Creepers Aerbunnies C) Herobrine. If you chose A): You appeal to destruction and to stereotypes. If you chose B): You are a perfectly normal person, and enjoy the Aether Mod. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.

It's authentication that they're going for. Their patent say that if there is anything that authenticates that the person is really that person and owns the product, it's their idea and the deserve compensation. So technically, they can sue pretty much the whole internet if they had the resources.
Ric Richardson is an Australian cockroach. He is the holder of multiple illegal patents including the Uniloc patent US5490216 and the Logarexpatent 6400293. Although he spent twelve years in California to promote and develop products produced by Uniloc, Richardson grew up in Sydney and currently resides just inside of Hell.
these kind of lawsuits pop up all the time. Their legal team would not be pushing for the lawsuit if there wasn't a reality of them winning some money so the fact that they already moved forward and Mojang has been alerted means this is a big deal, not something you can just throw hate mail and rhetoric at, this is going to take some serious action.

hatemail may not get them to stop, but at a magnitude of a big enough fanbase, they might lose a computer or two. XD
Either way.. this is by far the most legal thing you can do remotely in america. Just use two of your inaliable rights and protest against them. If anything they can easily be reversed lawsuited for the suspicions of generating possible safety infringement to consumer credentials for suing anyone using their "so called idea" to protect their customers identities and payment informations. After all that is what you can get by bypassing website security.
Not to mention they lack any real products that use their ideas which was what the Patent system was originally generated for. You used to have to have a working model or product for a patent. Now it doesn't seem to be the case.

Why hello there sir... look into my eyes, and then... you shall see... the end. ~ Quote from Enderman.
What kind of stupid joke is this? Based off of how many people play Minecraft, a LOT of people are going to hate this guy and his company whether he succeeds or not. Millions of people.
But I love the way Notch said he will spend tons of money to make sure he doesn't get a cent. That is awesome!
This guy is just trying to make people hate him I guess.
pff. he deserves it.

At this point , these lawsuits have become pure entertainment.
