They have, it is called a 'jungle' sapling, funny enough. There is no such thing as a cocoa plant, the cocoa bean grows from a tree.
LOL.. http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Cocoa_bean Oh really? Hmm, the Cocoa Bean comes from the Cacao Tree.. so yes in turn, it can be called a cocoa plant. Now you know.
Personally, I am glad that they are combing the Multiplayer and Single Player functions (gasp!). From what it looks like to me, the single player game will have the option of allowing local LAN people to join your game with you. It will NOT be an "internet" multiplayer server at all, JUST local LAN. I think it will be implemented just like Minecraft Pocket Edition. As for the online only to play bit that I've seen posted about, again, this isn't an online server, and so nothing will change outside of the standard login screen. Benefits: now they only have one game to bug fix, instead of two. Your games will not change, your single player games will not all the sudden be infested with griefers, or anyone if you don't want to, and most of all, you most likely won't see the difference when they release 1.3.
As for resources, that I am curious to see the impact of the game on poor hardware. Currently 1.2.5, with Optifine, and a GMABoost, I can get my poor little 1.6ghz Atom netbook (Aspire a150) running between 10-20fps. I'll download the new snapshot and give it a run to see how it impacts performance of such a poor performing machine. This is the only area that worries me. But hopefully, they can spend more time bug fixing and optimizing the one game, instead of two, that in the end, it will be even better!
Lazy to put it in one file?! No, you're completely wrong! Also, this is a snapshot, nothing is final. No one is forcing you to update.
No one is also forcing you to play either. You're one of the people in the community who just nit pick at every thing. So if you decide to leave, goodbye and good riddance.
i was just stating that it's a bad move to force people to have to use a SERVER to play a SINGLEPLAYER world. if you go through the thread, you will see a lot of people complaining about it. and for a fact, i don't nitpick about everything, this is a major change to the way minecraft works, and it's not a good one.
bashing in the forums is not appreciated, and is against the tos, so please don't do it again or i will have to report you.
Wow - I am a little confused....* The client now comes with both the client-side and the server-side JAR files. The file called “minecraft.jar” should be in your “.minecraft/bin” folder as usual, and the “minecraft_server.jar” file should be in a folder called “.minecraft/server”. (from Mojang.com)..... Does this mean each client needs to add a folder in the .mainecraft folder called server and add the server.jar file there?. Is this in addition to the actual server updating the server.jar file.
I need to explain - I have a home network, a server and 2 other computers, the server runs minecraft (amoungst other things) and the 2 other computers can connect to the minecraft game on the server, as can 2 other players via the internet. Do I need to update the server.jar (separate file) on the server.....AND / OR update the clients to have a /server folder with the server .jar file from the zip file on each client?
well.. single player will be servers for every map i made a new one and i cant connect to it.. i dont really like how their adding this... but it will make it sort of easier to invite your friends to play with u...

All you have proved is that it comes from a tree. Wow, i said that myself, awesome work.
Guys, Jeb said before the he wanted to combine ssp and smp so that he wouldn't have to make two updates. It may just be a 50/50 chance that he will scratch the idea. Though I do like making it online so it is more difficult to get a cracked client.
argh, this turned all of my worlds to multiplayer worlds!
HOW DO YOU WANT ME TO MAKE MY ADVENTURE MAPS OF THIS WAY?!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
if i behave weird in my post; it's not that i am weird actually. I like to pretend being weird just for the satisfaction of me and to make the community feel more normal. herpy herpy derp. btw, comic sans.

You're right, I'm sorry. I actually stayed home today from school (Sick) and one of my siblings left the front door open and let in like 100000 flies. They're all irritating me.
Although, some of the people on this board are truly nitpicking... whining over dropped cocoa beans?! All they do is make brown wool and cookies. It has about the same use as lapis.
if you look there will probably a mod that will changes the clients back to normal for people who have bad pc's but any one who has got minecraft on a bad pc should just buy a better pc cuz minercaft is harder to run than a game like skyrim...
I love how optimistic you are about people with bad PC's being able to magically produce the $1,000+ for a new good gaming PC. Actually you're more like saying playing Minecraft on a bad PC is illegal or something.
Some people just don't have that kind of money bro. Or does someone buy everything for you?
More bugs. ALL THESE APPEAR WHILE TRYING TO PLAY SSP.
1. you can no longer see your worlds seed in f3.
2. you can time out in your own ssp world. every 5 min 30 sec.
3. you can get a Connection refused to connect ssp
4. created a world with CREATIVE in world options and got survival.
5. I chose for a bonus chest. No chest near spawn.
6. Lag
I say Keep Single player as it is NOW and add HOST in multiplayer like Terraria has. It's a no brainer.
I can't even play minecraft. Every time I try to load a world (singleplayer, if that even means anything anymore) I have to wait two minutes just to get a connection refused error. I payed for the game. I should be able to play it. does anybody know a way to get around this?
Ok, people please listen.
Besides being able to invite others into you're world nothing much will change.
Jeb has stated that the single player server will be a slimmed down version so as to not effect performance.
You will not be required to have the internet operating to use single player.
And there will be nothing to interfere with editing programs to create adventure maps.
Some files might get moved about and it'll take time for those edditing programs to catch up with the changes.
But by and large nothing noticeable will change.E

Tired of the same old maze maps? Me too! Click here for an endless maze, in which you try to survive and it's randomly generated so it's different every time!

HOW DO YOU WANT ME TO MAKE MY ADVENTURE MAPS OF THIS WAY?!
I see this being Minecraft's downfall, unless they remove server feature in single player.

Minecraft was supposed to die when hunger was introduce, and when enchantments were brought in, and when apples got easier to get, etc.

Edit: And go check the bug list before you start complaining.
