Slimes are fairly painless to get spawning, just dig a large room at bedrock, put a few pools of water in and some wooden stuff, like fences etc, and after a few days it'll have plenty of slimes in it,. Works every time.
I have 2 stacks of 64 slimeballs, pistons going to be EPIC.

a sticky piston basicly is a block you place power it and it extends to 2 blocks wide and if theres a block in front will push it and pull it (average pistons just push)
I've been in since like a month and a half before beta and seen one slime in a massive tnt crater in smp which jumped into a lava flow before I even noticed it. Slimes need to spawn more often if slime balls have a use.

No it only does it to certain objects like sheep.
I hope so too because u barely find'em without a mod.

Cool do u have to have it at bedrock?
On top of pistons I think slime balls should be used to make poisoned arrows.
I agree but they should still be fairly rare.
