It took some book enchanting, and some time, but I did it, I finally got the best bow in Minecraft
Also, not going to use it until 1.8 because when I put it in the anvil with nothing, it already says too expensive and I did not use ANY cheats or mods for this.
You, good sir, are extremely lucky in the Enchanter.

My avatar-Madison Gotha. She knows various weapons, she's a mage/sage, and is somewhat immortal. Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..
I might be Moderator, but don't bother treating me too special. And don't make tons of Ban Hammer jokes, please. Also, I'm an Off-Topic only Mod. Don't ask me to lock a thread or something if it's not in the off-topic
No I think it went in this order with the books
Power 3 - added an unbreaking bow
Went to power IV and Unbreaking then named it
Went from that then put on flame, and then Infinity, then lastly I put on the Punch II
I would go without the Punch myself, but other than that it's a good one.
Yeah, since you usually use it from a distance it isn't as important as Knockback on a sword (some people don't like that either, but it helps a lot when there are several mobs at once).
Also of note, a Power V, Flame I, Infinity I, Unbreaking III bow is the most expensive item you can possibly repair (with a full repair), at 39 levels; even substituting Punch for Flame makes it too expensive unless you only go with Punch I or do partial repairs using damaged bows (or you can remove Unbreaking, but then the long-term repair cost is higher; that said, it lasts a long time for me, a couple weeks of playing, since I mostly use my sword, even on skeletons, and you can fully repair it from near-zero durability). I recently got such a bow myself by enchanting a bow at level 30, getting Power IV, Flame I, and Infinity I all at once (and the first one I enchanted), then combined level 1 books to get Power IV, then used that to upgrade it to Power V, then used an Unbreaking III book to add that.
In addition, in 1.8 you can't indefinitely repair items anymore; the repair cost will increase even if renamed (in fact, since renaming increases the cost, like any other anvil operation, you'll reduce the number of repairs possible).

Well, maybe I'll just put it in an item frame as a decoration Because I know if I end up using it I'm going to die and lose it eventually..

That bow actually started out as a Power 3 and I was about to throw it away and said wait.. and came up with this ^.^
Glitch!

Good job for putting in the effort in survival, unlike me.
Yeah same, the only reason I put on the Punch is because I wanted the best bow you can get

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
