Spiders are real life creatures. They don't burn in the daylight IRL.
Creepers are the tough enemy, so it makes sense that they don't burn in the daylight.
Besides, when's the last time you've seen one burn in the daylight?
1:Spiders dont burn in rea life... ya, but this is minecraft. Maybe they could...
2: Creepers tough enemy? LOL. If you think about it, they defeat themselves by suicidal means... and, I dont know about you, slime avatar guy, but I personally find the creepers to be overrated. Its almost as easy as the zombie...

1. I still stick to my argument.
2. They have the most sophisticated path-finding method. They can kill you in a single blast. While not that hard to kill, I have been surprise attacked a million times from them.
STOP CALLING ME SLIME AVATAR GUY, IT'S ANNOYING AND PAYS NO RELEVANCE TO MYSELF.

Whatever you say, slime avatar guy.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Anyway, with creepers, they're basically walking plants. I don't think triffids burned in sunlight either. Probably a bad analogy, as I hear about three google searches incoming and at least a dozen wondering what a triffid is, but you get my point. Possibly. No one watches old movies anymore. I know of when that would be a joke everyone would laugh at. But now no one cares. Creepers.

Speaking of slimes, has anyone managed to get them into the sun? If so, do they burn?

1: Ok... I guess.
2: There was only one, and ONE ONLY time than a actually did kill me. And It was at the entrance of my mine anyways (Dont ask. Even to this day I dont know how the hell did he end up there. My guess its than there was some light level 6 block escaping from me).
3: No comments.
And I wont stop really. The whole slime avatar guy its permanent, ok?
I already noted than all of the ones who use slime avatars tend to be agressive towards me for some reason, therefore I must act according to the consecuences (Wow, my English fails O_o).
Besides I dont see whats so annoying about it, I would feel good if someone did call me in other way than just my name.

So whats with it? I know that some of my threads kind of look like troll threads, but none of them actually were...
Althougt I do admit than sometimes I make my threads a bit more different or add something on them because I am bored, but the core quesiton still stands!
And I enjoy troll threads, too! But I dont create them. Its a rule.
Anyway, OT, I guess than everyone is saying than they dont burn because they arent undead... one is a spider, and the other is the creeper.... Iwicht I dont know why the creeper couldt possibly be an undead?
Speaking of slimes, has anyone managed to get them into the sun? If so, do they burn?
Well, I am guessing than if there are people who somehow adopted a slime as their pet (Aka Tiny slime following and pushing you around potentially into dangerous stuff like a cliff or lava. Or both), those people should live in the underground forever. So yeah, I guess they resist sunlight.
Skele/Zombie burn because their undead as previously stated
the creeper seems to have some contraversy going on as to why it doesn't burn
imo the whole point of the creeper is to ruin you minecraft life and thus if you could dodge it simply by only going out during the day why would their be any need for defence besides a basic shelter? the creeper is made for ambush and it works best when you walk out onto your beautifully constructed patio admire the sunset and hear "ssssssssss"
*snip*

I think Creepers are actually a type of golem. Evidence:
1. Their only goal is to destroy the player (or any mob that dares to **** them off) at whatever cost.
2. They drop sulfur rather than anything organic.
3. Notch has stated that Creepers are "crunchy, like dry leaves." This could indicate that Creepers are created with a mixture of sulfur and plant matter (possibly also bits of stone, which would fly out during their explosion and hurt the player).
If Creepers are golems they are neither alive nor dead (nor undead), so sunlight would have no affect on them.

I actually like this theory. It takes everything into account, too.
Why? why this disventage for skeletons and sombies?

Spiders and creepers are not.
Just be glad the zombies/skellies don't start sparkling in sunlight instead of burning. -.-

Trees dont float
ground doesnt float
i fail to see why you are trying to compare real life with minecraft
You have just read this. You are also manually breathing.

I think they've adapted to the sun's rays and the player's flint and steel so they don't automatically explode.
If it were undead it would burn in sunlight.

And spiders don't burn because they are your friends who also try to kill you at night.
