What was your favorite mining experience? Mine was when it was my first time going into a huge ravine I found while exploring. I didn't know how to play Minecraft at the time and I just jumped down with all my treasure (iron, coal, all the noob items that we now take for granted.). I then found more rare items like redstone, gold and, lapis. I then found that it was a big mistake to jump down because I didn't know how to get up or where I had jumped from. So I started to dig up, after digging into a river several times I finally emerged out of the water to find my self in a deserted Npc village (Back in 1.8). After looking at the wiki on how to make a compass, I made my way back into my mountain home.
Mine was on a server, I was at bedrock, and i dug all the way back up to surface, to find myself in my enemies base.
So I quickly looted their stuff, jumped back in my hole, and filled it up all the way so no evidence.

So, once I was mining in a massive cave system near bedrock. I had been mining for hours, and had found a few stacks of iron, and some other minerals, but no diamonds. Then, I stepped into a giant cave with an obsidian floor and a lava pool, and about 10 diamonds! I was overjoyed.
Ever since diamond was introduced (Indev? I just remember being excited) I've always loved to see even just one piece of diamond in a cave, ravine, or if I'm strip mining. I like to add to my collection. Right now in my Alpha world I have almost a full stack of diamonds, along with a full set of diamond armor, and a full set of diamond tools. lolshowoffyjerk.
I was sort of a late starter so I didn't get to experience the whole...legacy you could say. I started in 1.3_01 and i was such a newb i couldn't even break a block. I was constantly on the wiki and youtube to try and find out how to craft and do things, but the first house i made was a bawse... even though it was just a bunch of tunnels under the ground that occasionally hit the surface. I didn't even know diamonds existed!
My favourite experience (because I'm able to laugh at how stupid I was back then) was when I first started playing I went mining straight down (I was so smart) and I found diamond pretty quickly. I only had a stone pick and I mined all 8 of the diamond ore because I didn't realise I needed an iron pick and I assumed it was a random drop like getting flint from gravel.
I would have to say all my favorite MC experiences have been since I joined my clan. My first night in the server lightning struck one of my pigs. Turning him into PETE THE POWERFUL! Sadly Pete escaped his pen and now roams the wilds of Eleutheria
Yeah, Back when i was first starting minecraft i live in a un-mineral-ed cave that have 4 x 4 wide and 12 block deep.
When going to venture i still uses iron equipment and didnt ever find 1 redstone. After finding a perfect deep cave to mine. I mine all the way down. I founded some redstone and lapis [also gold]. I back up into the surface and forgot my way to home. I lost about 1 minecraft week and then seacrhed to goole. 'Help lost minecraft' then it leads me to wiki. Its a map page and i see the related pages and see compass page, i opened it and find out how to make compass. Thanks to the compass i can get back to my cave home.
I still remember when i was still a caveman.

Enderman:" It said 'Friendly Server' But they aren't Friendly at all!"
On a survival server, my friend and I were exploring a massive cave system with two ravines, and so we gathered a massive amount of materials. However, we both ran out of food, his pick had broken, and mine was on low durability. I started digging a staircase out, but then my pick broke so I was digging through stone. Unfortunately, the tunnel happened to come out in the middle of an ocean, and I couldnt quite manage to break the last block, so we both drowned. Definitely favorite experience.
I miss being a noob...

I saw redstone ore suspended over
bedrockOBSIDION, and I was genuinely freaked out. It was so awesome! If my post helped you, please click the (+) at the bottom right!
With my fortune 3 pick I think I ended up with 22 diamonds from those 6 blocks.
WOW.
