I have a few questions about spawners because on a skyblock server, i donated for spawners so i was wondering some things about them
also plz if youre not 100% sure on 1 say something like u think cuz i dont want to get confused, if that was offensive to some ppl it wasnt meant to be insulting.
1: how close do you have to be for stuff to spawn from it
2: if you have 2 spawners side by side will it spawn more
3: if not, how far apart do they need to be
4: if you were to make an iron golem farm with a spawner, how much iron would u get in 8 hours
5: if there are more ppl near the spawner, will more mobs spawn
1. 16 blocks
2. Not really
3. Mobs cannot be within a 17x9x17 area of the spawner.
4. Depends on the number of spawners, how frequently they spawn, and how much they drop each time.
5. No.

are you sure? I can stand next to a spawner, and it will spawn normaly.

After about the 10th comment on a thread, no one pays attention to what you have to say. ):

1. The spawner has a property "RequiredPlayerRange" that defaults to 16. At least one player must be within this radius (Euclidean distance) of the center of the spawner for spawning to occur.
2. There will be more opportunities to spawn. But spawning checks whether the number of the spawned mobs nearby ("nearby" defined a rectangular area, with radius double the spawn range (default 4) on X and Z and 4 blocks on Y, so by default a 17x17x9 zone) and fails if there are already the maximum (default 6) found, so you'd need to quickly remove mobs from this area for multiple spawners to really be effective.
OTOH, if you can adjust the various spawner properties, you could just reduce the MinSpawnDelay (default 200, 10 seconds) and MaxSpawnDelay (default 800, 40 seconds) to make a single spawner try more often, and increase the MaxNearbyEntities (default 6) and SpawnCount (default 4) to make it try to spawn more at once.

So it's not normal if spawners spawn stuff, and I am right next to it?

Where in the world are you getting that idea? It's perfectly normal.
