Ohhh man.... Hehe. Lets see.... maybe 4-6 hours per school day, and 10+ per weekend day. So lets calculate the minimum, and then the maximum for a week, a month, and a year. I will be factoring summer in as well as Christmas break, and Spring Break [Well, not exact, but close.]
Ok, so the week is simple.
5 days in a week * 4 hours
20 hours + 20 for weekend = 40 O,o
40 hours per week
40 + 40 80
320 hours per month
Now for the fun part. As within a year, you have 364 days, but you have breaks within those.
10 days off for Christmas Break. [Not counting weekends~]
6 days off for Spring Break [This year anyways, budget reduction day]
75 days for Summer Vacation
Now of course there are only 260 days in a year without weekends, so lets subtract these days from this value.
So that gives me 195 days off total, including weekends.
so 1,950 hours per year [minimum] For days off.
196 days left, multiply that by the 4 hours.
784 hours.
2734 hours minimum per year
Now for the maximum, lets assume I play 15 hours on a day of [Not too hard to believe actually....]
That would be 2925 on days off
And 1176 on normal days
4101 hours maximum per year [Don't let my parents see this... please...]
May as well find the average. 2734 + 4101 = 6835
Divide that by two.... 3417.5
So, the average would be 3417.5 per year.
That is 142.5 days, Longer than most would survive a creeper apocalypse.
around 4.5 MONTHS total
Hope you enjoyed the math... and this whole walk of shame xD
Restart your calculations There is 7 days in a week genius at least say that so people don't think too bad of you, There is 5 days in a school week! 20*20 Is actually 400.
When I bought Minecraft it was the best money I ever spent, needless to say. I don't play quite as much as the OP but I have potentially put more hours into it than all my other game adventures combined.

wow... I probably play less than that normally, despite the fact that I spent my whole Christmas break (14 days) playing minecraft.

Yeah, Minecraft was a great deal, seeing as I'd probably have to pay less than a cent if a had to pay a fraction of the 26.95 I spent for minecraft every time I wanted to play...
Reread the OP, genius. He calculated the work week and weekend separately.
Your avatar fits that comment perfectly.
I think when I first began playing Minecraft, about two years ago, I was clocking in 2000 hours a year, which is obviously very unhealthy, but now I don't have any time to do much of anything in Minecraft except browse the forums.

Same here. I lost interest when I was literally in pain from a marathon with my friend. He seemed to be having a great time though. I can't play that long anymore AT ALL.

I was born blind, but I've never had a problem seeing. I see through my bending.
People see me and think I'm weak. But I can take care of myself, by myself.
One does not simply play minecraft xD, anyways, i play about 8 hours a school day
And 16-24hrs on weekend, as i have absolutely no life, but i would say my AVERAGE weekend time is usually 18hrs for each day.

4 Hours During A Weekday and 20 hours during a weekend so
5x4 = 20
20 + 20 = 40
60 Hours
September,April,June And November All Over 30 Days So 60 x 30 Equals 1800 Hours Per Those Months
Jan Feb March May July August October and December 31 days so 60 x 31 1860 Hours Per Those Months together you get
3660 Hours In a Year Minimum
While over 4660 Hours In a Year Maximum

Obviously he meant "20 + 20" and not "20 * 20"
