This code isn't working. It's supposed to add layer of bedrock, 2 layers of diamond ore, 5 layers of stone, 10 layers of dirt, and 10 layers of water, with villages and random ore spawn. It's only showing lapis lazuli. Please help
Thank you. I made a obsidian bottom layer with 2 dirt layers above it, and then set the top layer as stone bricks:my favorite-ish block. i set the biome to JungleHills so i can have bright green. haha. no green except for snotblocks hoppin! XD

Or you could just make a world with one layer of sand and then right when you place your first block, all the sand would fall and you would have no need for MCEdit.
i wanna make an ocean with coal ore as botem, how do i make that?
This preset will make an ocean 1 block deep with 1 layer of coal ore at the bottom:
2;7,16,9;0
From left to right, the 2 is the generator version (not sure how important it is, but always use 2), 7 is a layer of bedrock for the lowest layer, 16 is a layer of coal ore, 9 is a layer of water, and 0 is the biome ID (ocean). Not sure how deep you want it to be, but to make an ocean 10 blocks deep you replace the 9 with 10x9, or for 10 layers of coal ore, 10x16 instead of 16, so with of those changes it looks like this:
2;7,10x16,10x9;0
You can find more details on the superflat preset code on the Wiki; the game comes with a number of default presets that you can modify instead of making one from scratch and will show you the layers you selected so you can be sure you didn't make a mistake.
Also, if you intend to make a survival map I'd suggest using a layer of stone instead of just coal ore and add decoration so most normal ores generate. For example:
This will make a layer of bedrock followed by 16 layers of stone (maybe add more if you don't want diamonds to be too easy to find), then a 10 block deep ocean, with the biome set to plains and strongholds, villages, and ores generated. This is the result (the houses are filled with air, including air bubbles over the crops; dirt deposits on the ocean bottom also have sand and clay, so you can get those as well; villages also have trees in chests, or you can steal the logs from the farms/houses):
Strongholds will also generate in a similar manner, even as a bunch of disjointed pieces floating in mid-air.
I really want to just have a normally generated world except flat at or 1 block above water level .
Is there any way to do that ?
Not without modding the code, although looking at it it should be easy to do; just bypass the noise generators that generate height variations in terrain and put down a layer of solid stone with a few layers of biome-specific blocks on top (ores and other stuff are generated afterwards so wouldn't be affected), although modifications would be needed to allow for oceans and rivers, perhaps just restrict the noise generator's output to one above sea level
How would I make a world that has a layer of bedrock at the bottom, two layers of air, then 5 layers of bedrock, and still have normal terrain on the top such as mountains, oceans etc. or take a standard world and add the previously mentioned bedrock, air, and then bedrock as previously mentioned.
Thanks! I really needed this. I now have my favorite color grass, and lots of dirt below my feet to build into. Thanks man! You deserve x 100000000000000!

You can't. Superflat stays superflat except for lakes, trees, stuff in the overworld preset...

help! I am very confused and I need help! I want to make a completely superflat world with nothing else besides strongholds, grass on top and ores where there aren't strongholds. Strictly: NO TREES. Sorry to tree lovers, but I hate it when they get in the way on superflat worlds when you just want to enjoy a day with nice, flat, solitude. Can someone help me understand the coding please? Thanks! Yours truly,
~FlufferKittens thank you to who helps mebtw not grass decorations, grass blocks

The only way to do this is to place ores in layers, which is a bit silly because you can just mine down to diamond and get infinite diamonds without having to actually search for more. Also, no trees = no wood, necessary for survival, although I suppose you could add in a layer of wood or get a sapling through cheats (open to LAN if not enabled otherwise).
However, here is a preset that would work; there is otherwise no way to only add ores and nothing else unless you make the surface something that doesn't support anything (e.g. sandstone, clay, etc):
2;7,129,56,73,21,14,15,16,17,2x3,2;1;stronghold
This generates, from bedrock (7) to surface, emerald ore (129), diamond ore (56), redstone ore (73), lapis ore (21), gold ore (14), iron ore (15), coal ore (16), wood (17), dirt (3, 2 layers), and grass (2).
You can also modify this to add in layers of water (9) and lava (11) (make sure these can't mix!) or obsidian (49), although you can make a Nether portal using obsidian from lava in a stronghold (15 blocks in the portal room; use 10 for a portal and 4 for an enchantment table), which also has water (crops can grow without water, if slowly; passive mobs will spawn so you have food without having to kill a skeleton to get seeds).

use this code i dont know how many levels of wool you wanted or what color but....
2;11,23x35;1;village
the webset that i used to make this is as follows
http://chunkbase.com/apps/superflat-generator#2;7,57x1,6x57,2;20;biome_1,village,decoration,dungeon,mineshaft
if you have a hard time an making a world just tell me know what you want for a world and i can make it for you
