Those are called trolls. Even boys suffered by the hands of trolls. Point? Heck, you being admins could be due to you being girls as I have personally experienced on many servers. Boys tend to become gullible to girls and girls tend to bond with each other. I don't see how you're having it that bad. Oh and no, it's not just one server that I've seen this, but on almost every server I've been on that had females since December 2009, otherwise I would not be here posting.
Yes, "boys" can be asses, but those are called trolls. Trolls are always asses to everyone. If anything, this group is going to attract more trolls because they now have a specific target to attack and focus their efforts on. You need to differentiate between actual sexism (i.e. negative discrimination towards women when it comes to rights, status, etc. in normal social interactions) and trolling (i.e. kids joining the server to get some kicks out of certain gullible people by insulting them in any way possible).
Everyone should be treated the same. Men and women. And they both do need rights. I have seen it in my family. Anyway ,on MC, I have been in this situation before. I think one time someone said "I love you" to me ....which was just plain creepy. Also, I think someone did the squat thing to me. The weird thing is, they don't really have any clue of who we are, and they do this to us. Your owner should know this is wrong. You said he has a rule of being respectful right? Well, people aren't respecting you and you tell him to put on no harassment/sexual on the rules. I don't understand why he says no. If he thinks he is saying no just for the men's rights he should think about the women's or else he shouldn't really own a server. Someone like this is not smart or just being a jerk. So...he's actually breaking his own rule. I know I am being harsh, but a server is not supposed to be a place to make someone feel uncomfortable. If this keeps on continuing, you should probably find another server to go on. Tell your friends to go on the server with you. Then it's pretty happy. Of course, you could make your own server and let your friends play on it. Or..if you still won't give up..try forming a group of people on the server and come up with all the reasons. Just in case you guys get banned, write all their names and tell them to look for a forum thread you made (or someone else in the group) to find a new server or make one! Hope this helps.

My sisters are so young that they don't understand. And are asking me what that means. I hate it. I also don't like the way some men treat women. I talked to the CoOwner of my favorite server yesterday. She said she gets that all the time. I'm young and
yesterday night something very scary happened that pressured me to change my skin.
Yesterday night, an admin invited his friends onto the server, I am an admin. A 14 year-old, several years older than me, told me he wanted to make out and make love. I told him to shut up. He said I love you a million times. I was so creeped out, I banned him. He saw my skin because he found it on Miners Need Cool Shoes. I am sick of this people! I am a lady, and wanted to be treated like one, NOT A FRIEKING SLAVE TO MEN. And this is all about your skin, which is SO WRONG. Girls are forced to:
- impersionate so they don't get sexually harassed.
- change their skins so they don't get sexually harassed.
And many girls play MC. Kids like, 8-10 years old. I'm 10.

Mom: GET OFF THAT GAME RIGHT NOW

Also, I know you said no more advertising, but this server is adult owned, has mature staff, and is a lot of fun. It was the second server I ever joined, and I joined it last year. I would recommend this to anyone who is getting harassed.

If you stopped trying to brag about the fact that you're not a man, nobody would bother you... but when a girl on the internet consistently brings the fact that they're a girl to conversation, to the point that it's their sole character trait it gets really old really quick.

Firstly, I want to commend you, the thread starter for taking the initiative to speak up about this issue, especially at the age of 10! You're absolutely right that sexual harrassment is a huge problem among gamers, both online and at gaming events (LAN, MineCon, etc.). I hate to stereotype, but it stems in a large part from gamers being nerds who either do not get the attention they crave from females, or who are socially inept enough to not know how to interact with other people... or, of course, both. You're far from the first person to have raided this issue, but again, good on you for doing so.

I am ashamed of all of the women who say they are standing up for women's rights when they say they deal wth these situations by leaving the games and allowing the immature boys to drive them away. Educate these people that sexual harrassment is not allowed. Stand up for your rights to be who you are, no matter what creed, sex, age,religon or what ever else you stand for. No such mutual understanding exists, however, and so you may dislike "attention whores" all you want, but common decency dictates you keep it to yourself and leave them alone. It's not that hard.

Actually it is from my experience that females on this game, and others, get privileges and extra attention from the boys, even from the admins. That irks me a lot. If anything, the bad attention is severely overshadowed by the positive attention females get in online games (and specifically Minecraft).
I Really don't know Freddy. I didn't even know about it until just now. Like you said, I was AFK. If the server comes back on there WILL be a divorce, but today Giving (luckily not one of those people) told me the server doesn't exist anymore after he tried to make it come on so that Jen and I could play. And of course Shade will rage, because he thinks he can just make me marry him, but I don't give a crap anymore. It's my decision and he can't make that for me. If I want a divorce and he won't let me divorce, I will most likely quit the server and stay one one against sexism. When I find an anti- sexism Server, I'll let you know.

I, too, would love for this thread to get more publicity, particularly since I get the impression there are so many children playing MC. Maybe the thread should be moved to Discussion or some other forum with more traffic? Don't see how it belongs in Clans in the first place .
