What do you mean by enhanced? If the Russian translation needs improving then it should be done to the official translation at crowdin.net. There's no point in making new translations to fix a problem.

Hi, the mexican spanish have something strange: the grass block appears as "bloque de zacate". Obviously bloque means block, but "zacate" is a form to say grass that is not very used here in old new spain. Is a word only used by the elders. Instead, it will be better the common-use word "pasto".
E-mail Jeb and make your case. If you have a group of regular contributors, it's probably also a good idea to get some agreement from them too.
Thanks! =D I tried to find the Jeb's email but I didn't find it >,< But anyways I tried twitting he, but I haven't got answer at the moment. I hope his response.

If you want to comment on the translation it would be better to do it at the translation website - Mexican Spanish discussion. If you sign up there you can also vote on the translated terms.
I'm so-so about Crowdin actually. There's like no proofreaders that can actually ensure if the translations are right because you can get people who have no knowledge of the typography, punctuation and game's textual limitations (like the length of texts in some places, the characters that can mess up the font) that can suggest or vote for a bad translation where it should vote on a good one. This happened to me more than once and I'm kinda fed up to have my correct suggestions to be ruined by some stupid or ignoring guys, resulting to a badly translated game. Is there something that can be done about that?
The only solution I found so far is to suggest a resource pack, but it's not intuitive. Nobody will ever think of searching for such pack to exist or won't even care. What do you think guys?

Well to be fair to Mojang, the translation is a bit of an added extra from their point of view. All we can do is keep bugging them to do things that make the translations more professional. We shouldn’t expect too much though.
On the other hand, I think every team should have a proofreader. It’s the only way to get a consistent, reliable translation. For the languages with lots of regular contributors (e.g German), problems usually get sorted out by discussion, but for smaller languages or ones with only one or two regular translators, it is really easy for the good work to be swamped by people who drop in and randomly translate a few items without even joining a team or looking at what’s been done before.
I don’t think a resource pack is a good idea. If you believe a translation is bad you should fight to make it better. Ask to be made a proofreader and/or take the time to discuss the problems with other translators.
As far as the ‘characters that can mess up the font’ issue goes, I’m not sure that’s worth even thinking about. The default font’s character set is so ridiculously limited (it’s about 30 years out of date!) that it doesn’t seem reasonable to ask translators to spell in some weird way just to fit in with it. The fallback font is ugly, but it’s more straightforward to just spell words correctly. [Edit: my opinion! Of course, if your language team agrees to stick to the default font, you’re free to do that.]
If you want to translate Minecraft to Bahasa Malaysia you should contact Jens Bergensten <[email protected]> and ask for the language to be added to the translation website (crowdin.net). You can then create an account there and start translating.

Well, I did a resource pack and it is available to download, and I even mention it is NOT definitive, but I think people don't care or they just don't know there's one. And fight how? The only way I'm thinking about is through discussions, and it's not always easy to get in touch to these guys. After that, it's a matter of if they'll accept or not to have their suggestions removed. If they refuse and others keep voting for their bad suggestions, the game will be kinda forever badly translated.
There's like no easy way on crowdin to be in team and discuss clearly about what would be a good translation or not. Like, I can't easily tell to that guy that his suggestion is wrong because of certain things. I can leave him a note, but it's not guaranteed he's going to read it. I think there's a group discussion feature somewhere on crowdin, but even, nobody comes in there.
And there's always those who want their suggestion to be voted at all costs, without taking care of the translation quality. In my case, I want the game to be correctly translated in my language (FR-CA) and I'm open for the people to give their opinions so that I can remove my suggestions if they want or vote for others. As long as it seems good, I'm fine with it.

Not in some weird way. Just with a few tweaks. There's plenty of games where the french language doesn't have accents on capital vowels. The É and ç characters are there at least, and we must just avoid using the Œ and œ characters to avoid the whole font to be thin. That's all. Nothing major. A few simple rules.
EDIT: I just took a quick glance to my suggestions on crowdin again. For some suggestions where I'm the only one suggesting, someone has voted [-] for no reason and didn't even suggest, nor talked to me. Why dislking my kinda good translation for no freaking reason?

Yes, each language has a discussion forum, but it’s not easy to find and they seem to have removed the idea of joining a language team.

That doesn’t sound too bad, but you can’t really complain about people spelling things correctly.
It would be better if Mojang rethought the way this works, so that there isn‘t this font apartheid situation.
That is what I meant, but also why not ask to be a proofreader? Have you tried that?
I tried sending Jeb a PM on the Minecraft forum, on Crowdin and I also tried emailing him.
Result? No answer.
If you meant along with other translators, I just have to figure a way to contact them and they obviously have to accept.

Of course I can't complain! But if Minecraft would have worked differently about that, I would obviously use the correct translations myself and put the correct characters. But now, there's some limitations and I managed to figure them out. Other translators don't and may break the font.

Just keep trying. I think 1 week is a polite amount of time to wait for a reply to an e-mail. Dinnerbone and Eric Broes also appeared a while back on Crowdin as Managers, so you could try contacting them as well.

It's been like a few months I contacted him, excepted on Crowdin which I just did a few days ago. I can just hope. Otherwise, sure, I can insist and insist, but I don't wanna be annoying.

If you looked at the 5th message back (no. 467) on the same page you would have found it.
Jens Bergensten <[email protected]>
He is a busy man, so give him some time to respond.

If you go back 3 (yes only 3) messages you will find Jeb's e-mail address.
