The main reason for having Cubic Chunks is to reduce the lag we get from the current chunk system. If the chunk system were cubic instead of linear, it would mean your computer would only have to load what you can see. Right now with the current chunk system your computer loads everything you can see and everything below what you can see, (Everything underground.) It's really inefficient.
If you will do simple calculations, you will see that with Normal and Far distances you will see more blocks at once with Cubic Chunks.
And still this is unrelated to this thread. If I will go to cubic chunks thread and advertise this thread or my mods, that would be bad, would it?

My UA on laptop: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:27.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.0 SeaMonkey/2.24 Lightning/2.9b1; I use Ubuntu 13.10 here.
And on desktop: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0; Here I use openSUSE 12.2.
I guess that with return of ChaosGuardian, the new OP was forgotten.
He was asked about it a few pages back. It was completely ignored. My guess is that if the current original poster is active and isn't interested in starting a new thread, it would be challenging to convince the mods to shut this thread down and/or allow a new thread to be created. Quite a shame, but with my 70-hour work weeks lately, I can't say I have time to contribute to either the OP or even this thread. I get to watch while nothing constructive happens.
EH-Swamp still doesn't look as bad as Taiga-Desert or Taiga-Jungle

If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 99% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 1% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
Hold back though. Since all that could be added is just generic stuff.

Also am I the only one who hates watching some YouTube people because they go on about how far the generator has come yet they don't really know what there talking about.
The only thing the current generator seems to be good for is added biomes. Everything about the new generator is based around biomes and nothing more.

I know I guy on youtube that keeps talking how he is getting bored of minecraft because Mojang stopped adding biomes xD
The thing that really bothered me about EH biomes were the people who claimed 1.8 was more realistic. I dont know about you but EH are just about as far from realistic as anything.
They should not take biomes but if they want to fill all of it in one game it is going to take alot of computer or system memory. I still dont care alot about memory.

Disk space or RAM?
Code takes very small amount of space, so that's not a problem at all.
As for RAM, generation doesn't use it too extensively. One 16x16x126 double array takes 16×16×128×64÷2¹³=256 kilobytes. The whole amount of required RAM is 3-4 megabytes. Not very much either.
Biomes? Biome definition has biome name, id, few parameters. It will take very small amount of both disk space and RAM too.
In some aspects yes, except that the mountain in your picture could have just as easily formed IN a plains biome, making something akin to a grassy badlands area, or a Lonely Mountain. Also, areas with water looked better in several ways, one of which was the possible existence of interesting gravel beaches. If you'd like to see some famous seeds/areas from the old generator, try Googling "old glacier seed" and "404 challenge."

I don't really see how insulting someone (though it still bugs me that that's in the OP) is related to advertising.
The only connection I'm aware of is that both could be considered "bad".

Just behind me there was a plains.

Also your signature.. it isn't necessarily correct, most people don't spend ages complaining.
It was meant to be a joke. (Part Joke actually)

First time that's been said in years.
Really excited about info on the 1.7 update!

Hey everyone, I'm back!
Taiga.... Ughhh.
For me the Taiga biome looks bad on it's own.
I know I guy on youtube that keeps talking how he is getting bored of minecraft because Mojang stopped adding biomes xD
Indeed it does look kinda cool.
