And BTW, I don't mean 1/2 Redwall server 1/2 other I mean 100% Redwall. Sorry if this sounds impolite but if you loved the books like I do, you'd love it in Minecraft. Now, if you think you have the server with mossflower and all, it should meet these requirements:
*Rank system (With Novice, Brother, Abbot and perhaps wilderness for those who want to live in the wild)
*A link to a place with available skins (Mice skins, rat skins, Fox skins, if you can)
* A hard core RPG (meaning almost never break character)
* All the places of Mossflower (St. Ninians, The Quarry, Abbey, Woods, Farm) and they should have roads attaching them to each other.
*Kotir (you know, if you want to blow my mind)
* If you really can a texture pack that matches redwall (sandstone is red and leather armor is like the green habit the redwall mice wear, and if you want to make everything more redwall)
* All places in the Abbey are fully furnished accordingly, have a dormitory, infirmary, Cavern hole, dining hall
* Have factions outside of Redwall (Cluny's horde and stuff like that)
Work that needs to be done for my Redwall Server:
*For it to work with me on it
*Abbey and other settings
* Rank system
*A happy server
* An actual server (meaning a hosting company which is thought to be about 15-30 bucks a month)
What has been done:
*2 skins, Matthias and Cluny (I guess I could do the skins)
*Set of rules
* Redwall Texture pack (red sandstone and Iron doors being more, gateish, leather armor as habits for the Redwall order etc.) This is being done by NecroParade big thanks to him!
Estimated time to finish Mossflower 1 month starting at 5-14-11
If you think you cannot do all of these, collaborate with people, they are sure to help you, I think. Thank you for reading this and if you find something, please let me know, i'd be ever so grateful.
This is a wonderful idea. I have enjoyed both the Redwall books and animated series for years, even though it is intended for children. I would love to see this come to fruition, but are you saying you're not starting one, just requesting someone to make it? Unfortunately, I cannot help. I can try to recreate something, but the abbey is too huge, and this is where to start, right? I wish you the best of luck.
R.I.P. Brian Jacques. Many will miss him.

If any senator wishes to read this, I suggest a SUSA bill. Stop United States Act. If the internet needs to babysit your lawmaking, Then there's something wrong.

Well, I do have a server but I can't get on it with it running, but it will work with others coming & going. So, I
guess I'm saying if you have one it'd be awesome, if you want to make one, come to my server. I don't think I'll tell people the server Ip until I have at least the Abbey walls. Also, the abbey doesn't seem all THAT huge in my point of view, like say perhaps 300 x 300? and thick walls like 8 squares, and a few Iron Doors and a tower for letting people in (like Methusalah used) and The joseph bells. Then I think I'd let people have the IP adress.

Please feed my dragon, if you click on him, he'll live longer, and if he doesn't get fed, he becomes a griefer...
I can't host a minecraft server, but If we were to get enough money to hire a hosting company, then I could do the actual management of the server software, and from there I could easily add in things like ranks and grief protection.

The Joseph Bells... Makes me wish campanology exists in Minecraft.
Hmm, I can't decide whether 300x300 is right or too small. The problem is the limitations of Minecraft combined with your wanting a fully furnished abbey. Especially when you take into account the pond, orchard (we need fruit trees!) and Sparra's Kingdom. And there's a vegetable patch and a few graves knocking around (not including Martin's crypt). Could you post a screenshot? In my mind, it's massive.
I read your updated OP, and I can't help but have reservations with using sandstone for the abbey. I would also use a retextured sandstone if I were to recreate this in single player, but sandstone is very easy to destroy, and protecting these blocks is unrealistic as the walls have been destroyed a few times throughout the series... Ooh, siege engines!
Lastly, are you limiting it to just Mossflower, or are you planning to expand later? Because I am really loving the idea of Salamandastron. PM me when you're ready to let people in.

WOW! Well, 300x300 is good for the walls in my opinion, but make sure they're thick. As for the orchard, because we can't have fruit we should see if they had kinds of trees without fruit. If we go along outside of mossflower, I think we should have everywhere in the book, either run down or up and running perfectly, and everything in between, according to the books. I see everyone forgets the cellars when they make redwall, so you shouldn't. I would ask for the IP before it's finished so we can start at the end of the book Mossflower, so we can build it, and live through all the books.

Well, that's something to think about. Firstly, I'd like to clarify in my post above litehound's that I meant Mossflower the region and Salamandastron the mountain. Secondly, when the OP mentioned role-playing I thought that meant speaking and behaving like the characters/tribes. Like being a shy and humble mole with a West Country (I think) accent. It's been a very long time since I've read most of the books and watched the animated series, so I've forgotten much of it. Can I be a non-descript character helping you build?

I guess you've never read Redwall then, or at least skipped big parts of it.
I've read lots of Redwall and still can't translate Mole 100% of the time. Sometimes they actually add letters to words that were never supposed to be there.
Good luck in your work. I miss Brian Jacques.

"Sometimes, I just wanna give up, say 'I'm done with this mess' and go to bed. But you know what; you can't shrug off your responsibilities. You got to pull yourself up and meet the challenges head on. That's the only way you're gonna get ahead in life."
I don't know if this topic is being talked on still or not.. But I just wanted to come over here and say that I'm actually working on a Redwall themed resource pack. If you're going to make a server, I would LOVE to help out! I'm a HUGE Redwall fan. (As you can tell by my username. lol) I've read the books hundreds of times, so I know everything Redwall.
