Have you ever needed to move more than one block with one piston? Have you ever wanted to move redstone or torches with a piston? Have you ever wanted to make a moving airship? All of that can be solved
Glue is just slime, you place slime on the ground and it places glue. Glue allows you to make pistons move more than one block at a time, you put the block down, you put slime on it, and you put another block on the slime. That block will be stuck to the first one. This could allow for the creation of airships that move ships that sink and much more. Because it can cause lag, in the server.properties there could be a thing that lets you change how many blocks glue can move, by default it's 1000. When you break glue, you don't get it back. Glue is sticky, when you walk over it it's like walking over soul sand.
This texture was made by taking the glue of sticky pistons and replacing redstone-wire-overlay and wool-lime
Thank you, mojang for adding this with slime blocks in 1.8!!!

Glue is made by placing slime balls, you can put it down, stick a block on top, then both blocks will be moved by a piston. There could be a maximum number of blocks you can move at a time so you can't crash a server with it, but with this you can make airships or better piston doors.
you can make double piston extenders with redstone...even triple
I think this has been suggested before, but whatever, it's a good idea. With a picture! It irks me that the sticky piston is so limited. I presume glue could be used to retract a maximum of 12 blocks, since that's the maximum that pistons can push?
Support! This would be great for creating airships, trains, and all sorts of other things that are impossible in Minecraft currently. The glue should also slow the player down when they walk over it.
You do realize that this has nothing to do with sticky pistons, nor double piston extenders? This suggestion wouldn't even allow for the easy creation of double piston extenders, since the second piston would still need to be powered the same way regardless.
If you're going to be against the suggestion, at least properly understand it.
Why? There are actually a lot of threads about this. The rules also say to not post ideas twice. Rules are rules.
Because this thread wasn't made in 2011, and it has a picture. I know what the rules are, but I'd rather reply to a thread where the OP isn't inactive.

Whoops, I assumed you meant placing the slime balls in a crafting table. (See what I mean about this topic needing more details?)

Support, I had an almost identical idea to this quite a while ago but I didn't use the forums at the time. Would allow for a lot more complexity when building contraptions.

This would still be great for more compact designs, "glue" could also allow for the easy retracting of blocks.
Lol.
I guess it could be 12 blocks in every direction but like a gamerule to change it or something
I'm pretty sure that all pistons can push up to 15 blocks. The only thing I can see this being used for is so sticky pistons can take back all of the 15 blocks, instead of only the first block. Half support.

Did you know that he said more than one block at a time? Did you know you should think before posting?
Nice, but redundant:

I'd personally prefer keeping this topic. Could use some more details though, and a crafting recipe picture.

I have heard of sticky pistons and I did read the tutorial on suggestions
You notice I said you place down the slime balls, no crafting right?

I got the texture from sticky pistons if you didn't notice...
I know there are many topics about glue already, but this one has more depth

I'll try to make the post more detailed
I think I made it a bit more detailed
You can already make secret doors, but you can't make airships
Sticky pistons don't let you make airships or move redstone dust
you should use the forums when you think of a good suggestion
I only support what I like
