i don't support stealing things from other games. especially from don't starve.
How is it stealing? Minecraft was the product of a lot of other games like infiniminer and dwarf fortress so why can't we use aspects from other games to shape another?

This is a great idea, I have been thinking of something similar recently, maybe you could add that spiders are breed-able and will breed when in the nest.
I can see why this became popular. This would spice up the overworld quite a bit. That, and the spiders returning in the day means one must hunt for string in the night, or invade a spider nest. Difficulty just raised 2 points.
One thing, though. If this is implemented, perhaps spider neutrality should be set to also respond like zombie pigmen, and set hostile when nearby spiders get attacked.(Of course, still being hostile in the dark like normal.) That way, attacking a spider nest means fighting all the spiders at a time, and not just one.

I respect your opinion on the boss spider but as I have asked countless times what is it that you do not like? Also I have discussed that other mobs already have unique characteristics such as creepers exploding and zombies and skeletons burning in the daylight.

Spiders would have to be one of my favourite mobs and I do like the idea of the Boss Spider, very much so. I've been actually waiting for something like this to be implemented in Minecraft.
However I think that the spider's nest should not be too easy to find, similar to the dungeon because the boss would be overpowered for people exploring in there. What would it be like on the inside? is it similar to a small dungeon or cave? Where would you fight the boss?
Would there be spider spawners in a boss room?

I think this is a really good idea because spiders should have nests because it would be more realistic(I don't really care about much realistic stuff in minecraft btw) and there wouldn't be many random spiders roaming around

Maybe either from villages, chests underground, your own house, and it doesn't really even matter. SECRETS THAT SHOULD NEVER BE KNOWN!!!
