Just tossing the idea out there, with some example enchantments:
High-Heat I, II, III, IV (Furnace Only): Decreases time needed for smelting an item by X.
Conservative I, II, III (Crafting Table): Will randomly not consume certain materials on the crafting bench, but give the completed item anyway. E.G. If crafting a stack of torches, has a chance to not consume a random amount of coal or sticks. If crafting a pickaxe, it may not consume some of the stone/iron/diamonds or sticks.
Conservative I, II, III (Furnace): Increases the lifetime of burnable materials. IE, Conservative III may extend the life of a single piece of coal to 16-24 items, as opposed to 8.
Fortune I, II, III (Crafting Table): Has a chance to create an increased amount of the materials you're crafting. IE, may create 8 Stairs instead of 4. May not work with items that do not stack. (Such as tools)
Fortune I, II, III (Furnace): Essentially acts like Fortune on a pickaxe for materials like gold and iron, but also for things like stone and glass. May require an update to furnaces to allow for more than a single stack of a material to be held.
Seems like a nicely thought out idea , as an suggestion maybe it could have a 1%-2% chance to automatically enchant a tool like Pickaxes,Swords,Shovels,Axes, ETC
The reason why blocks can't be enchanted is, ALL blocks are stackable.
And stackable items cannot be enchanted.
That means if a block was enchanted through hacking the max-stack limits and NBTEdit, if you attempt to stack that block with a non-enchanted block, it would stack the two and overwrite the enchantments.
The only way to prevent that is to make crafting tables and furnaces non-stackable; do you really want that?
Or you just cannot stack enchanted blocks....they could add that.....
And how would that be implemented?
Don't just post ideas going "oh this is a grate idea! well wat about this part? oh thats for jeb to figure out not me"

Uh, yeah. I wouldn't care if they could stack or not. You don't need more than one crafting table at a time and even if you do want more for multiple locations, just carry a stack of planks and you can make 16 of them from that (More than any sane person needs). Furnaces are slightly more useful as a stackable item but still not hugely important. Again, you could just carry a stack of cobble to make yourself 8 furnaces. I doubt your inventory is THAT full to be able to do this.

or -1 me with your mind. One of them is less frustrating.
That is a pretty ignorant thing to say.
It isn't right now, but it could obviously be added.
This comment is like going into a thread about colored light and saying "Colored light isn't possible!" because it isn't in the game right now.
OT: I like the idea, but as others have said it would need to have some sort of lifespan on it so that it isn't too over powered.

This wouldn't work due to different enchantment types.
I would love it if you checked out my "about me" page on my profile and looked at my threads I'm always happy to see new posters.
