All of us know its unrealistic to jump on glass from a few feet and not break it. Why not have it if you jump on glass for say, 5-7 or more blocks it breaks the glass. Also, how about if you sprint at a wall and jump, you smash thru the glass secret agent style.
I like the idea, thought i mean some of the essence of minecraft is that everything is not that realistic. And also, if you jump on a... Let's say 10 blocks high glass tower from 10 blocks above, how many glass blocks would you break?

How about every glass block slows your speed by 1/2 so it would break 5 blocks
And in 1.8 Notch tried to make things more realistic, like lighting and hunger. I thought that this would just be a nice touch.

I know, I like the new stuff in 1.8, eventhough I've been too busy building on my adventure map in creative mode, so I realy haven't got to play much surival yet :sad.gif:

Let's say I jumped...50 blocks. Wouldn't that mean that It would take 25 glass blocks to stop me. Maybe the proportion is too big, I'm just pointing something out.
Maybe it slows you down a certain amount every time you hit a block? So when you hit maximum speed, only a it wouldn't be half. Not being a backseat driver, though. I'm just saiyan.

That is the simplest good idea ever. make a get satisfaction thread for this. right. now. when you break through glass it should deal you maybe 2 damage in addition to any fall damage. that would make it perfect!

I think am ahead of you on this idea. I changed the hurt sound and sound upon impacting or "landing" on different objects. As far as the amount of hurt damage, go as far as intelliJ and find it and change its fall variable.I don't know much about Java so. My video is in the Live stream/video section. "Stalker mod", but its turning out to be more of a sound mod. I am almost done with the entire step folder. It is sound really awesome! I'll make another video as soon as its done. I have to fix some other sounds that were done that I noticed while playing.

Now that you mention it, i think that maybe there should be a crash sound, then kind a "klink klink" sound(like glass shards falling on the ground).
