Ever since the DDos initiated on the Minecraft servers, my game lags severely especially on servers. I reinstalled Minecraft, deleted all %temp% files, and I have Optifine. All I know that went wrong on the day of the DDos is that my Windows Defender and avast were disabled temporarily. I scanned my computer though, and there were no files with viruses. So at this point, I'm clueless on what's going on. Does anyone have an idea what's going on or at least have some advice? I would highly appreciate it. Thank you.
The most likely bottleneck would be you computer. Either it is a bad computer or just has a lot of background programs running. Try opening task manager and locating any programs that my be taking up a large amount of memory. It could be that you have your video settings to high in Minecraft. If that is the case try lowering your render distance, turning off smooth lighting, and lowering particles.

try deleting %appdata%\.minecraft
That's what I did originally when deleting Minecraft.
