First of all, I would just like to say that this mod is EPIC, but it is missing one crucial thing to make it complete.........An in-game guide. Every other magic mod, such as Witchery, Thaumcraft 4, Ars Magica 2 and Botania have a guide of some type. It would be really nice to have this info in the game to make things like potions and catalysts easier to remember and craft. This post is OF COURSE a suggestion. I hope that you see this and give it serious consideration. Thanks you very much.

Q: Way, I've just had an amazing idea! Why not add an in-game book just like the Thaumonomicon?
A: This has been suggested several times. It is being worked on, and is proceeding quite well. Some framework needs to be completed, but it isn't a priority - ALL of the information you need is on this post, or online.
So I'm not entirely sure, but I may have found a bug. I am using the ritual of the shepherd, I activated it and other than an initial drain of around 10k there has been no drain but the baby chicken has not grown, and I have checked multiple times to make sure its the right ritual (I used the ritual diviner) and its been at least 6 minutes since I started tracking the time it was taking to grow. Using the 1.6 version if it helps at all.
Update: The baby chicken grew after 20 minutes, in that time I bred another which properly drained my network and grew rather quickly.
I guess, but considering that it doesn't really have any effect on performance to call am empty method... I don't think that the performance is actually hurt.
Well, not every altar ahs to be all dark and gloomy. I just finished my altar for my 1.7.2 world (second one I've ever finished, the original being in my Agrarian Skies world) and I like to think it came out rather... pretty.
Still got loads to do, though. This world's got a million and one things left to do and I intend to spend quite a bit of time automating things so I can play with the spell system.
Possibly the most reliable way, at least when nearby, is to use teleposers to steal some mob spawners from elsewhere in the world and place them in a dedicated spawning room, which will run anytime you're nearby.
I thought spawners were one of the few things teleposers didn't work on. Actually, I thought their entry in the first post/wiki mentioned that, but now I don't see it. Was I not paying attention before, or did that recently start working?
Okay, for some reason, after imbuing my first sigil, I tried to imbue another, and when it finished, the sigil was simply not there. Gone. Stone wasted. And it's not that i'm having a problem with LP.
I'm pretty sure everyone on here has seen you. I honestly don't know the answer, and I think it might help anyone who is looking in to the problem if you took a few screenshots of what you are doing and posted them so that someone might be able to see what's going on.
I know you want help, but if you don't get an answer right away, don't lose hope. It is Sunday. People are either busy with their various meetings at church, or just plain enjoying the last day of the weekend before heading back to work/school.

A new problem now. In the wiki pictures, you're able to see how much LP your blood orb has. Well, that doesn't show up on my end. Matter of fact, the orb does nothing if I put it on the altar.

If the Orb is doing nothing, first you need to right click the orb to bind it to yourself. If that doesn't work then are you putting it in an equal or higher tier altar?
I have a suggestion for another possible use of the divination sigil. What about the ability to click it on a master ritual stone to determine if the ritual is active or not? It would make some things easier because I have so far built two underground with a layer of material covering them and you cant see the particle effects from the bottom.

What Orb/Altar tier? For example, if you found an Archmages blood orb in a dungeon chest, you would still need the tier 5 altar to charge it. If this is not your issue then I am out of my depth currently and I am sorry that I was not able to be more help.
As was stated, the Divination sigil is required for viewing LP in your network, or, when used on an alter, to see tier, capacity, and current blood level.
You're either looking at long outdated pictures, or overlooking the presence of the divination sigil in them.
