I dunno. I finished Survival, and then there wasn't anything really left to do there. So I went to Creative, built some stuff... Ehh. It got boring pretty quickly. So I started installing mods and playing maps, but only a couple out of all of them were really worthwhile, so yeah. Went on some servers... Meh. Any suggestions?
I also attempted to watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie, to no avail.
I understand your feeling. Minecraft was SO fun, then I started playing multiplayer and it ruined singleplayer. I can't even play singleplayer anymore because of how boring it is. Then mutliplayer got boring so I started minigame servers, and others, and factions. I've gone through lots of 'stages', I'm on modpacks on multiplayer right now.
Uhhhh, download more mods? Set a goal on the server to be the richest? Prison servers?
+1 on the prison servers. Prison servers will provide hours and hours and hours of entertainment, and each server is different.Maybe try doing something more on the development aspect, BUILD custom maps, work on creative servers, make a mod, host a server, etc....
for example; turn off natural health regeneration and kill ender dragon on hardcore.
rules:
you can't enchant your armor.
you can't use iron/diamond armor.
you can't use diamond sword.
you can't trade with villagers.
you can't use potion of healing.
as I said, it's just an example. but you should try something different and harder. trust me, it works.
I don't understand why people finish a survival world and then completely get bored with the game. I have been playing since the game came out in 2010, and I still play everyday and have fun.
All I can say is try servers and mods and such.
Mineplex is a fun server, and it has different games and mini games and stuff.
A couple cool mods are Minecraft Comes Alive and Mo' Creatures.
And there are tons of fun maps like The Dropper.
Other than that, I don't know becasue I still find the game fun. :/
I agree with leaving and coming back...That's what I did and It worked...Also try 3d minecraft art or something, that's kept me bust the past week...My avatar is a good example
You lack inspiration, that is all. As other's have suggested, take a break. If, for some reason, you feel compelled to play Minecraft no matter what, then go find yourself some inspiration!
I seriously dunno how you people get bored of regular Minecraft singleplayer survival so easily. What do you guys even do in your worlds? My guess is that you just make a small base, make a few ordinary farms, build up enough resources to kill the Ender Dragon and the Wither, and then don't know what to do.
What I do in my main survival world:
1. Set the game to Peaceful. I have no problems with fighting mobs, even with a stone sword. But this is the only way I can enjoy Minecraft. (BTW you can do the all stuff that I do without setting it to Peaceful) I play with a mod that makes it so that your hunger goes down even on Peaceful.
2. Explore a bunch of caves, expand them, grow grass in them and make it as my base. I like living underground and putting many of my buildings there.
3. Once I've settled and I have an adequate amount of resources (20 diamonds and other stuff), I build big, automatic farms (including cocoa bean and even ice farms) underground, the ones that are on YouTube. Not just block farms, also mob farms, cause I need lots of leather.
4. I enchant my pickaxes and other tools to their max, using books and stuff.
5. When I need to relax, I strip mine.
6. Then I do a lot of other stuff, such as transportation.

Dude, I completely agree. I mean, how do you get bored??? there are mods such as Battlegear 2.Do stuff. Create fancy stuff. etc... the list goes on and on...
In other words, KEEP SEARCHING.
take a break. Then, come back after an update or two and its fun again. Thats what I did.
I agree with this. If you're looking for other games, there's this really cool one I recommend called outside. Unfortunately though, it does require the use of muscles.

ICBM mod + Dart Craft. at least, I've been having fun with it.
Also, check out Etho or Chimney Swift, they have series of Single-player Survival Vanilla going on 3+ years strong. Maybe you could get some inspiration from them :?

Already did that.

I agree with this guy. This is probably the best thing to do.
