Alrighty, I edited the cobblestone texture because it all seemed a tad bit too bright to me. Darkened the colors, raised the contrast a smidgen, and adjusted the shading on some of the stones. Opinions?

I think it is better, but now you have one bright stone and all the others are about the same brightness. I'd mix it up more.
I've made some more item textures (gold sword and red dye):
I'm not too happy with my vial at the moment and was wondering if anyone had tips on shading it as I still want it to be see through but don't want a bunch of transparent pixels. Any ideas?

Transparent pixels won't work anyway. You can add a pure white highlight on it. But why does the cap of the red dye look like a duck's head?

Hello, today I tried my hand at a color palette, because before I was using separate palettes for each block, which takes up hard-drive space and makes blocks not "match." I'm not sure I like the outcome, so if any of you could give feedback or point me to a few tutorials it would be great.

Quoted from Meringue - Too bad i own and have to use PS (at work) - it's clunky and i hate it..
First you have two lines of tans. That U shape on the left? remove the strip, it's the same as the top center.
Next you have some colors that are very close to matching, like in your darker greens. your 'to green' teal remove it, and just make the deal color shift slightly to green. your yellows can merge in with your tans.
You have way to much green, don't go over board like that.

Dark Oak looks great, but I'm not feeling the Oak logs. I mean they are designed great, but I don't like the ... "Feel" of them(hard to explain).
Whoops, I forgot to correct my note there. The Oak logs didn't get changed... That's gonna change though. I think I know what you're talking about though, they're a bit flat. Might do me a quicky edit.

YES!!! Thank you. They are a bit flat & not really shaded that good. Man, sometimes I can't even describe what I'm feeling.

You could fill up the vial more...

very nice looking, paper is a little flat, love the blue backlight.

Pun intended?
HAHA , lol no, it's just mostly one color. i think paper made from reeds might look a bit rougher.
